How to treat breast swelling

How to treat breast swelling

When a woman suffers from mastitis, it is easy to cause breast swelling, breast pain, and fear to touch the breast with hands. This is often due to the invasion of some foreign pathogens. Most of the bacteria that cause infection are Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus, which often cause cracks in the nipple skin and even cause long-term infection of breast tissue and hyperplasia, which is relatively harmful to women's health. If breast swelling occurs, anti-inflammatory treatment should be carried out in time. Mash the cactus into a paste and apply it to the breast area. It has a good anti-inflammatory and bactericidal effect, as well as a good swelling-reducing effect.

1. Use cactus to apply:

Clean the cactus thorns, mash them into paste, and apply them to the breast lumps with gauze. It would be even better if you add some egg white. Generally, applying it for three days in a row can reduce inflammation and relieve pain, and the lumps will disappear. It is suitable for early-stage mastitis. The biggest advantage of this method is that it has no side effects on children, is low-cost, and easy to obtain. Be careful to pick the thorns cleanly, especially small thorns, to avoid causing damage to the skin.

2. Massage method:

Use the thumb and other fingers of the hand on the corresponding side of the breast to press the breast hard so that the breast bulges and stands upright, and prevent the milk duct inside from sliding. Use the thumb and index finger of the other hand to rotate the areola and nipple in U and C shapes (horizontally and vertically) continuously and vigorously until the blocked nipple opens and milk comes out. This method is suitable for blocked milk ducts. It can be performed once before each breastfeeding to effectively prevent mastitis.

3. Scraping method:

Start scraping from the shoulder blades on the back and continue scraping to the waist. This method is simple and easy, and the effect is surprisingly good. Every time I have swelling and pain, the pain will be relieved the next day after scraping.

4. Use tools to clear:

If the milk is thick and the milk ducts are thin, milk duct blockage is likely to occur, which is especially painful when the child is sucking milk and when the milk is engorged. The characteristic feature is that there is usually a white spot on the nipple. At this time, you can use the bristles of a toothbrush, disinfect them with alcohol, and then gently clear the white spots. Of course, you can also use a needle or something else, but I personally think that the thickness of the toothbrush bristles is just right. It will be a little painful when clearing the area, but it is much more bearable than asking a child to suck on it. At least you can control it yourself. Clear it a few times and use a breast pump to suck it a few times. Repeat this several times and the milk duct will be unblocked. You will then see milk flowing out of it, and you are done. Remember to do a good job of disinfection, otherwise bacterial infection will cause fever, which will be bad.

5. External application:

A relatively simple and easy method is to use freshly picked grape leaves, mash them into a paste, and apply them to the affected area. It has a good therapeutic effect on the early stages of mastitis and can prevent the disease from worsening.
