Normal picture of cesarean section scar

What are the normal pictures of cesarean section scars? There are two possible reasons why pregnant women undergo cesarean section. One is that they are not suitable for natural delivery, and the other is that they actively choose cesarean section. However, pregnant women who undergo cesarean section will leave a scar due to the operation, which is the cesarean section scar. What are the normal pictures of cesarean section scars? Let's have a simple understanding of this issue. I hope the following points will be helpful to everyone!

Caesarean section scars are generally milky white or grayish white, smooth and hard. About two to three weeks after the surgical wound has scabbed over, the scar begins to grow, and the area becomes red, purple, and hardened, and protrudes from the surface of the skin. There are the newborn's peripheral nerves on the scar, but they are in a mess.

After a cesarean section, the scar on the abdomen of a pregnant woman will initially appear slightly raised and swollen, and the color will be darker than normal skin color and appear red. At present, most caesarean sections are performed on the lower transverse incision, which means that your scar is a horizontal scar along the bikini line (the edge of the female pubic hair growth area).

If a pregnant woman undergoes a cesarean section, she should pay special attention to the surgical area after giving birth. Generally, within 6 weeks after the operation, the cesarean section scar will shrink significantly. The surgical incision for cesarean section is only 10.2 to 15.2 cm long and 0.32 cm wide. As the wound heals slowly, the scar will shrink to 0.2 cm wide.

Although the cesarean section scar will be more obvious at first, it will gradually become lighter over time. Generally speaking, the color of a cesarean section scar will gradually fade to light pink after a few weeks or months. After a year or two, the scar will likely be just a silver line. However, depending on your skin color, your cesarean section scar will always be lighter than your normal skin color, and may eventually become almost invisible.

How to remove cesarean section scars

It is women's nature to pursue beauty, so why would they allow a scar on their abdomen? Therefore, I started the journey of removing cesarean section scars, but blindly choosing scar removal drugs to apply them is not feasible. Below I will introduce to you the more effective methods of cesarean section scar removal at present: laser cesarean section scar repair and surgical cesarean section scar repair.

1. Laser cesarean section scar repair

When using the cesarean section scar repair method to repair cesarean section scars, the first step is to locally inject drugs that inhibit the proliferation of reticular fibers; the second step is to simultaneously combine dye pulse light with a special wavelength to block the proliferative blood vessels, which can loosen the proliferative scars and make the scars gradually become better and narrower; the third step is to restore the cesarean section scar to the shape of a thin strip. Experts suggest that in order to prevent the appearance of worm-like scars, 1-2 pulsed light treatments should be performed 2-4 weeks after the cesarean section scar repair.

2. Surgical treatment of cesarean section scar repair

This method of cesarean section scar repair is more suitable for scars that are not very good-looking, or hypertrophic scar tissue caused by infection, foreign matter, etc., because cesarean section scar repair can remove the scar and suture it again surgically. For scars caused by direct incisions, the incisions can be redesigned and the scars can be cleaned. For ugly scars on the belly, you should first undergo cesarean section scar repair with liposuction or abdominal plastic surgery to tighten the muscle fascia of the waist muscles, restore the tightness, and then remove the unnecessary skin. The cesarean section scar repair should be performed again when the wound support is the least, which can maximize the improvement of the scar and body shape.
