How to relieve breast lumps after childbirth?

Many mothers after giving birth find lumps in their breasts and worry about whether they have encountered some disease. In fact, mothers do not need to panic too much, because after giving birth, the breasts will begin to secrete milk. If the milk is not discharged in time, milk lumps may appear. At this time, you can first relieve it through hot compresses and massage to see if there is a trend of relief.

1. Hot compress

Hard lumps in the breasts after childbirth are usually caused by milk accumulation. Hot compresses can increase blood circulation and promote milk absorption. Mothers can soak a towel in hot water and apply it to the swollen breast while it is still hot. The temperature should be such that it does not burn the breast. Then, cover the breast with the towel and gently massage it to soften the lumps in the breast. Note: Do not apply to the nipple area because the skin there is more delicate.

2. Scraping

Scraping is also a good method. The location and direction of scraping are basically the same as those of massage. It should be noted that lubricant should be applied to the breasts before scraping to avoid damaging the skin.

3. Massage

Take 3 o'clock, 6 o'clock, 9 o'clock and 12 o'clock at the base of the breast with the nipple as the center, and gently massage with your fingers until you feel a sore and swollen feeling, for 3-5 minutes each. Then massage the hard lumps for 5 minutes. Then use your hands to comb from the base of the breast towards the nipple about 15 times. Helps to unclog the milk ducts.

4. Acupuncture

Traditional Chinese medicine is profound and extensive, and it is also a very effective method for treating breast lumps. Mothers can go to a regular hospital or clinic to seek the help of a professional acupuncturist. The acupuncturist will make a dialectical analysis based on the mother's various conditions, select acupoints and perform acupuncture. Acupuncture has a good therapeutic effect on various breast lumps and has no side effects.
