Menopause has a huge impact on female friends. If you do not have regular gynecological examinations, you are very likely to suffer from endometritis. Symptoms include abnormal uterine bleeding, vaginal discharge, pain, anemia, weight loss, cachexia, etc. To prevent this phenomenon from happening, you must do regular cancer prevention examinations. 1. What are the symptoms of postmenopausal endometritis? 1. Abnormal uterine bleeding It is the most common symptom of endometrial cancer, with an incidence of 88% to 96%. Postmenopausal bleeding is manifested as bloody secretions or irregular vaginal bleeding, with a small amount and heavy bleeding is rare. Premenopausal bleeding is often misdiagnosed as dysfunctional uterine bleeding, manifested as prolonged menstruation, increased menstrual flow or intermenstrual bleeding. 2. Vaginal discharge It is mostly the result of tumor exudation or secondary infection, and may be bloody fluid, serous secretions or purulent secretions, accompanied by a foul odor. When the cervical canal is blocked, it may cause pyometra. Increased abnormal vaginal secretions often occur at the same time as uterine bleeding. 3. Pain Most of the time, it is caused by late-stage cancer infiltrating surrounding tissues or compressing nerves, causing lower abdominal pain and back pain, which can radiate to the legs. When there is pus in the uterine cavity, spasmodic pain in the lower abdomen may also occur. 4. Others Patients in the late stage often suffer from anemia, weight loss, and cachexia. 5. Clinical staging The clinical staging system established by the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics in 1971 was used, and the surgical-pathological staging system established in 1988 was used for those undergoing surgical treatment. Irregular vaginal bleeding in women of advanced childbearing age, especially postmenopausal vaginal bleeding, can be diagnosed by auxiliary examinations combined with the above clinical characteristics and laboratory results, and the definitive diagnosis requires pathological examination. 2. How to prevent postmenopausal endometritis 1. Have regular cancer prevention checks. 2. For menopausal menstrual disorders and irregular vaginal bleeding after menopause, diagnostic curettage should be performed in a timely manner, and symptomatic treatment should be given after excluding malignant tumors. 3. Pay attention to timely examination of high-risk patients. 4. Correctly guide the use of hormone replacement therapy. While taking estrogen, you should also take progesterone for at least 10 days a month to protect the endometrium and prevent hyperplasia. Those who use HRT should have regular gynecological examinations. Those with a family history, breast hyperplasia or endometrial hyperplasia should use it with caution. 5. Since long-term high-dose use of tamoxifen (tamoxifen) can cause endometrial hyperplasia and even the possibility of endometrial cancer, patients who take tamoxifen (tamoxifen) after breast cancer surgery should undergo regular gynecological examinations and B-ultrasound examinations to understand the thickness of the endometrium. If the endometrium is >5mm or there is irregular vaginal bleeding, diagnostic curettage should be performed in time. |
