What happens if the nipple is inverted? Experts answer your questions

Under normal circumstances, women's nipples are protruding, but some women's nipples are sunken. According to experts, this may be a developmental problem. Female friends don't need to worry too much if they have this problem, as it can be solved with some simple methods.

1. Girls’ inverted nipples are related to their development.

Inverted nipple (retracted nipple) is mainly congenital, but can also be caused by trauma or surgery, breast tumors, and fibrous hyperplasia after mastitis.

Congenital inverted nipple is caused by poor development of the smooth muscles of the nipple and areola. These muscle fibers are pulled inward, and the lack of supporting tissue under the nipple causes inverted nipple. It usually occurs on both sides at the same time, but it can also occur on one side. If an inverted nipple can be brought back into view with a little squeezing or pulling, it is considered mild inverted nipple. Congenital inverted nipples are more common in women with no history of breastfeeding.

Second, consider the possibility of developmental differences. Actively choose massage to improve the situation. Be careful to eat less raw, cold and irritating foods. Observe whether the menstrual period is normal.

3. Inverted nipple refers to a condition where the nipple is not higher than the breast skin and does not rise when pulled.

First, you can pull out the sunken nipple in the breast with your hands and fix it for a while. If this method does not work well, you can try syringe suction. Prepare a pair of 10 ml plastic syringes, remove the outer shell of the front end of the syringe; pull out the needle core, turn the syringe upside down, and align the opening at the rear end of the syringe shell with the sunken nipple; then insert the needle core from the cut at the front end of the syringe, gently aspirate, use the negative pressure of the syringe to suck out the sunken nipple, and fix it for 5-6 minutes; 1-2 times a day.

IV. Guidance:

One is manual traction. Adolescence is an important period for breast development and also an important period for correcting inverted nipples. Regularly pulling the nipples can make the breasts protrude, increase the supporting strength of the surrounding skin, and play a "shaping" role. Several times a day. Over time, the nipples will naturally bulge outward. If you can't pull it out, push the skin of the breast near the nipple outwards first.

The second is attraction therapy. After pregnancy, use a breast pump to suck the nipples several times a day, using the negative pressure to cause the nipples to bulge.

The third is to use a nipple corrector to treat flat or inverted nipples.
