What causes bleeding in the stool for girls?

If women find that there is blood in their stool during bowel movements, they may consider whether it is caused by some workplace diseases. The most common ones are rectal polyps, rectal malignancy, or colon polyps and some anal diseases, which can easily induce bleeding in the stool.

One: rectal disease

1. Rectal polyps: manifested as blood in the stool, which is generally intermittent, bright red in color, and usually not in large quantities.

2. Rectal malignancy: The main manifestations are increased frequency of bowel movements, thinner stools, mucus and blood, accompanied by tenesmus or a feeling of incomplete defecation. In the early stages, blood in the stool is bright red or dark red, and the amount is not large. In the late stages, there is often foul-smelling mucus in the stool, and weight loss occurs. It should be taken seriously by the majority of female patients.

3. Radiation proctitis: manifested by bloody stools, but there should be a history of radiation therapy.

Colon disease

1. Colon polyps: The main symptom is bloody stools, often accompanied by malnutrition, anemia, hypoproteinemia and growth retardation, and often accompanied by congenital malformations such as intestinal malrotation, umbilical hernia and cerebral edema.

2. Malignant transformation of the colon: Malignant transformation is common in the left half of the colon, and is often accompanied by stubborn constipation. The frequency of bowel movements may also increase occasionally. When the malignant swelling ruptures, the surface of the stool may be stained with blood or mucus, and even pus may be discharged.

3. Anal diseases

1. Bright red blood and no pain in female patients, mostly internal hemorrhoids. Stage I hemorrhoids are characterized by blood in the stool, often due to stool rubbing the hemorrhoids and bleeding. The blood may drip continuously, or be a line like an arrow, or only be on the toilet paper. Stage II hemorrhoids do not bleed much or at all in the stool, and often prolapse outside the anus.

2. Anal fissures in women with blood in the stool are often accompanied by anal pain and typical cyclical pain after defecation.

3. The main manifestations of anal canal malignancy are blood in the stool and pain, and the pain worsens before defecation.
