Can B-ultrasound detect cervical erosion? Different symptoms reflect different conditions.

Cervical erosion needs to be confirmed by colposcopy to determine whether it is infected. Ultrasound cannot detect cervical erosion. Colposcopy is a method of directly observing the cervix by magnifying it 10-40 times under a strong light source in order to detect smaller lesions that are invisible to the naked eye and to determine the extent of cervical erosion.

2. Symptoms of cervical erosion

1. Symptoms of mild cervical erosion: Mild cervical erosion generally has no obvious symptoms, but some may experience increased leucorrhea, yellow color, stickiness and odor, etc. Depending on the cause of the infection in women, the quality, quantity and color of leucorrhea will also change. Since the symptoms of mild cervical erosion are not very obvious, they are often ignored by women.

2. Symptoms of moderate cervical erosion: Patients with moderate cervical erosion often have increased leucorrhea, which is yellow, sticky and has an odor. When the inflammation irritates the vulva, it can also cause itching. When the eroded surface becomes obviously congested, bright red or easily bleeds, there will be contact bleeding during sexual intercourse and irregular vaginal bleeding.

3. Symptoms of severe cervical erosion: Patients with severe cervical erosion will have increased vaginal discharge, which will be yellow in color, sticky in texture and have a foul odor. Inflammatory vaginal discharge will cause itching if it stimulates the vulva for a long time. The color, state, and quality of leucorrhea may vary depending on the pathogen. Therefore, some severe symptoms of cervical erosion may include blood in the leucorrhea, and sometimes contact bleeding and irregular vaginal bleeding after sexual intercourse, accompanied by symptoms such as frequent urination and urgency.
