Do you feel it when the egg is fertilized?

In fact, many women wonder, what are the symptoms and feelings after the egg is fertilized? Generally speaking, there is no sign or feeling when the egg is fertilized, but some women will experience a drop in basal body temperature and then a rise in temperature.

1. Do you feel the fertilization of the egg?

There are generally no signs or feelings of egg fertilization. Some typical women have a characteristic when the fertilized egg implants, and others may not feel anything. This characteristic is: the basal body temperature decreases within 6-10 days after the egg is discharged, and suddenly rises again the next day. This is implantation low temperature.

What is the process of egg fertilization?

1. The process of sperm and egg combining is called fertilization or conception, and conception is the beginning of pregnancy.

2. During sexual intercourse, men discharge about 200 to 400 million sperm each time. Most of the sperm are discharged from the vagina along with the semen, and a small number of sperm move forward by swinging their tails, passing through the cervical canal and uterine cavity, and finally reaching the terminal station - the ampulla of the fallopian tube, where they wait to combine with the egg. It takes only a few minutes for sperm to reach the fallopian tube from the vagina, at the fastest, 4-6 hours at the latest, and usually 1-1.5 hours.

3. During their journey, sperms are blocked by cervical mucus and swallowed by white blood cells in the uterine cavity. Only dozens to one or two hundred sperms finally reach the fallopian tubes. Before sperm can fertilize the egg, it must be incubated in the female reproductive cavity for a period of time before it becomes capable of fertilization. This process is called sperm capacitation.

4. During a woman's childbearing age, her ovaries release a mature egg every month, and the ovulation date is about 14 days before the next menstrual period. After the egg is released from the ovary, it is immediately sucked into the fallopian tube by the fimbria of the fallopian tube and waits for the arrival of sperm in the ampulla of the fallopian tube.

5. Sperm can survive in the female fallopian tube for 1-3 days, and the egg can survive for about 1 day. If sexual intercourse occurs within a few days before or after a woman's ovulation, the sperm and egg may meet in the ampulla of the fallopian tube. At this time, a group of sperm surround the egg. The capacitated sperm secrete acrosome enzymes on their heads to dissolve the corona radiata and zona pellucida around the egg, opening a path for the sperm to enter the egg. Ultimately, only one sperm enters the egg, and then a new cell is formed. This cell is called a fertilized egg or pregnant egg. This process is called fertilization.
