Can anovulatory dysfunctional uterine bleeding be cured? Treatment methods for anovulatory dysfunctional uterine bleeding

Anovulatory functional uterine bleeding refers to irregular uterine bleeding caused by endocrine disorders. It often occurs in female puberty and menopause and poses a great threat to women's health. Therefore, many women are particularly concerned about whether this type of anovulatory dysfunctional uterine bleeding can be cured. In fact, women do not need to be overly nervous after suffering from anovulatory dysfunctional uterine bleeding. As long as they actively cooperate with the doctor's treatment, the symptoms can be effectively relieved.

Different treatments should be adopted for anovulatory dysfunctional uterine bleeding according to different ages. During adolescence, the main focus is on stopping bleeding, adjusting the cycle, and inducing ovulation; during perimenopause, the principle is to stop bleeding, adjust the cycle, and reduce blood volume.

(1) General treatment

Improve general condition, correct anemia, pay attention to rest, and strengthen nutrition.

(2) Curettage and dilatation

Especially for menopausal patients with recurrent bleeding, segmented diagnostic curettage can be performed, which can quickly stop bleeding and provide a clear diagnosis.

(3) Hormone therapy

① For adolescents with anovulatory dysfunctional uterine bleeding, 2 mg of estradiol benzoate can be used, injected intramuscularly once every 6 to 8 hours. After the blood volume decreases significantly, the dosage can be gradually reduced. The dosage should not exceed 1/3 of the dosage each time. When it is reduced to 1 mg, it can be taken orally instead. The cumulative medication is used for a total of 20 days. In the last 3 days, 20 mg of progesterone can be added intramuscularly every day.

② For those who have no ovulation and want to have children, take sucralose orally starting from the 5th day of menstruation, 50 mg each time, once a day, for 5 consecutive days.

③ For menopausal women with anovulatory dysfunctional uterine bleeding, norethindrone (Fukang tablets) can be used, 5 to 8 mg each time, once every 6 hours. When the blood volume decreases or stops, the dose should be reduced by 1/3 every 3 days until the maintenance dose is 5 mg per day, for a total of 22 days.

(4) Treatment with traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), such as Dingkun Dan and Wuji Baifeng Wan.

(5) Surgical treatment

If conservative treatment is ineffective, bleeding is excessive, and severe anemia occurs, hysterectomy may be considered depending on age.
