What is the difference between intrauterine effusion and pelvic effusion? You will understand after reading this

Many people foolishly confuse the difference between intrauterine effusion and pelvic effusion. In fact, although the names of the two are somewhat similar, they are two completely different concepts. The causes of the diseases are different, and the treatments are also different, so don't make mistakes again.

1. Uterine effusion and pelvic effusion are two different concepts. First of all, the two locations are different. Uterine intracavitary effusion is caused by endometritis accompanied by cervical canal obstruction, which results in the inflammatory secretions in the uterine cavity being unable to flow out or being poorly drained. Pelvic effusion is the fluid that accumulates in the rectouterine pit, the lowest point in the abdominal cavity. It can be divided into physiological and pathological types. Physiological effusion generally requires treatment, while pathological effusion is generally caused by pelvic inflammation.

2. For the diagnosis of intrauterine effusion and pelvic effusion, it is generally recommended that patients go to a local regular hospital for an ultrasound examination. The price is low, and the cost of the examination is generally 1/10 of that of a CT scan and 1/30 of that of an MRI. This is more affordable for most working-class people. Therefore, "B-ultrasound" is often used for health examinations.

3. The diagnosis of pelvic effusion can also be achieved by observing symptoms. The main symptoms of patients with pelvic effusion are lumbosacral pain or lower abdominal pain (bilateral or unilateral), lower abdominal distension and pain, heaviness, low back pain, and lower abdominal prolapse, etc., or they may be aggravated by standing for a long time, overwork, sexual intercourse, or before menstruation, and severe cases may affect work. Or there may be increased leucorrhea, menstrual disorders, heavy menstrual bleeding, dysmenorrhea, sexual discomfort; blocked fallopian tubes, infertility, etc. Over time, the patient may suffer from physical weakness, great mental stress, and often neurasthenia.

4. Pelvic effusion refers to the presence of inflammatory exudate in the pelvic cavity, which may occur after the endometrium becomes inflamed. It is a slightly viscous fluid that exudes from the swollen cells of the endometrial tissue and is gradually wrapped by the surrounding tissue to form a cystic mass. If treatment is required, you can choose to use antibiotics and dexamethasone at the same time. Physical therapy can also be used for treatment, commonly used ones are shortwave, ultrashort wave, iontophoresis (various drugs such as penicillin, streptomycin, etc. can be added), wax therapy, etc.
