Beware of bloody leucorrhea, what's going on?

Leucorrhea is a sign of femininity, and whether it is normal or not is related to the health of the body. The presence of blood in leucorrhea is pathological and may be caused by cervicitis, uterine erosion, endometrial cancer, etc. In short, it is abnormal to have blood in leucorrhea.

1. Cervical polyps

Cervical polyps are a manifestation of chronic cervicitis. The main symptoms are yellow leucorrhea, leucorrhea with an unpleasant odor, and blood in the leucorrhea.

2. Acute vaginitis

The main symptoms are increased leucorrhea, which is yellow watery or purulent with a foul odor. When the infection is severe, spot vaginal bleeding may occur.

3. Severe cervical erosion

The main symptoms are increased vaginal discharge, yellowing of the discharge, strong odor, and also accompanied by vulvar itching, low back pain, dysmenorrhea, etc.

4. Senile vaginitis

Clinical manifestations include increased vaginal discharge that is light yellow in color, and in severe cases, bloody and purulent leucorrhea.

5. Cervical cancer

There is a small amount of bleeding or increased vaginal discharge after sexual intercourse.

6. Endometrial cancer

The clinical manifestations are irregular bleeding, with the amount of bleeding varying from time to time. Premenopausal women may have heavy menstrual flow and prolonged duration, while postmenopausal women may experience postmenopausal bleeding.

7. Ovulation bleeding

Menstrual bleeding (vaginal bleeding) refers to a small amount of bleeding between normal menstruation, which may be accompanied by varying degrees of lower abdominal pain.

8. Notes

Leucorrhea with blood can be divided into two types: physiological leucorrhea with blood and pathological leucorrhea with blood. Physiological leucorrhea with blood usually manifests as ovulation bleeding, which is normal. In addition, there is pathological leucorrhea, which is generally caused by gynecological diseases.
