What are the symptoms of dysmenorrhea

The problem of dysmenorrhea is one of the most common phenomena in life. Many women suffer from dysmenorrhea. If dysmenorrhea is severe, it can also cause symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, pale complexion, etc., which seriously affect work and life.

1 Mild:

There is obvious lower abdominal pain during or before and after menstruation, accompanied by back pain, but the patient can continue to work and has no systemic symptoms. Painkillers are sometimes needed.

2 Moderate:

Unbearable pain in the lower abdomen during or before and after menstruation, accompanied by back pain, nausea and vomiting, and cold limbs. Analgesics are used to temporarily relieve the pain.

3 Severe:

Unbearable lower abdominal pain during or before and after menstruation, restlessness, serious impact on work, study and daily life, must stay in bed, accompanied by low back pain, pale complexion, cold sweat, cold limbs, vomiting and diarrhea, or anal swelling, no obvious relief with analgesic measures.

4. The cause of dysmenorrhea is not yet fully understood

It may be related to physical weakness, mental stress, hypersensitivity, or stenosis of the cervical opening or cervical canal, excessive uterine tilt, shedding of the entire endometrium, causing menstrual blood retention and stimulating uterine contraction; or abnormally increased levels of prostaglandin F2d in endometrial fragments and menstrual blood, causing spasmodic contractions of uterine muscles and blood vessels.
