Do you really know all these symptoms of ovarian tumors in women?

Ovarian tumors are a major hidden danger that affects women's health. However, because the symptoms of ovarian tumors are not very obvious in the early stages, many patients miss the best treatment period. This is why the mortality rate of ovarian tumors is high. Women must actively prevent gynecological diseases to avoid harm.

Symptoms of ovarian tumors:

1. Age of onset: Ovarian cancer can occur at any age, with a high incidence between 40 and 70 years old. It is most common in middle-aged women around 50 years old before and after menopause, but it can also occur in boys and girls under 20 years old! The ovaries of elderly women gradually shrink and become smaller. If ovaries or masses can still be felt during gynecological examination, this disease should be highly suspected! For prepubescent boys, girls, and ovaries, their ovaries have not yet matured, and anal examination often cannot feel the ovaries. If enlarged ovaries can be felt or adnexal masses are found during B-ultrasound, this disease should be suspected!

2. Gastrointestinal discomfort: The first symptoms of early patients are often manifested in the gastrointestinal tract! Almost all patients seek medical treatment due to abdominal distension, poor appetite, reduced diet or obvious weight loss! If ascites occurs, abdominal distension will be more obvious, and abdominal pain may also occur! 3. Abdominal tumor: Most patients accidentally feel a tumor in the lower abdomen when they wake up in the morning with a full bladder. If the tumor grows rapidly or ascites appears, this disease should be highly suspected! But when the tumor is small (less than or equal to 7 cm), it is often not felt by oneself and can only be found through B-ultrasound examination. It should be understood that ovarian cancer tumors can also be less than or equal to 5 cm! Regular gynecological cancer prevention examinations are indeed necessary. If an ovarian tumor of about 5 cm is found, regular follow-up and close observation are required!

4. Menstrual changes: About 1/2 of ovarian cancer patients have irregular menstruation and irregular vaginal bleeding! Clinically, it is also found that those with ovarian dysfunction, such as delayed menarche and early menopause; those with dysmenorrhea, singleness, infertility or a family history of ovarian cancer are prone to this disease!

5. Compression symptoms: Larger pelvic tumors often cause obvious compression symptoms, and there are discomforts such as frequent urination, urgent defecation, anal blockage, lower abdominal distension or constipation! When ovarian cancer has extensive pelvic and abdominal metastasis and there is a large amount of ascites, compression symptoms are also more common!

6. Gynecological examination: If the internal examination finds that the adnexal tumor is hard, uneven, and has poor mobility, it should be highly suspected of ovarian cancer infiltration and adhesion! If a solid tumor of about 5 cm is touched, it should not be ignored!

7. Ultrasound findings: About 70% of solid ovarian tumors are malignant; mixed cystic and solid tumors are also mostly malignant! If the B-ultrasound examination finds that the tumor wall is thick (solid reflection thickness exceeds 2 cm), it should be highly suspected of malignancy! CT examination and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examination can assist in diagnosis!

8. Other tests: cytological examination of posterior vaginal fornix puncture wash fluid and chest and peritoneal fluid is helpful for diagnosis! CA125 test is mainly for ovarian epithelial tumors, alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) for endodermal sinus tumors, and chorionic gonadotropin for choriocarcinoma. It has important reference value for diagnosis and prognosis estimation!
