Is the leucorrhea as heavy as menstruation? Or these reasons

It is a normal physiological phenomenon for women to secrete leucorrhea, but some women find that their leucorrhea is always abnormally large, almost the same as their menstrual flow. So what is going on in this situation?

What kind of vaginal discharge is normal?

1. Sexual excitement causes excessive vaginal discharge: During sexual intercourse, the amount of vaginal discharge will increase compared to usual, which has a lubricating effect on the vagina and facilitates sexual intercourse.

2. Ovulation causes excessive vaginal discharge: Generally, the amount of vaginal discharge increases in the middle of the menstrual period (i.e. the ovulation period), and it becomes thin and transparent. After ovulation, the vaginal discharge returns to a sticky, turbid and small state.

3. Progesterone causes excessive leucorrhea: Leucorrhea increases before menstruation and during pregnancy, which is caused by the increase of progesterone.

4. Stress causes excessive vaginal discharge: Excessive stress in women can cause neurological disorders, affect normal endocrine regulation, and may also cause excessive vaginal discharge. At this time, women often need to release stress and regulate themselves.

What are abnormal leucorrhea?

1. Cervical erosion: Leucorrhea is generally yellow in color, sticky like pus, and odorless;

2. Fallopian tube cancer: Because the tumor stimulates the fallopian tube epithelium to exude fluid and the diseased tissue to necrosis, watery leucorrhea will appear continuously.

3. Endometritis and pelvic inflammatory disease: Leucorrhea will also increase, be yellow in color, thin in texture, and often accompanied by abdominal pain;

4. Gonorrhea: yellow pus-like;

5. Trichomonas vaginitis: Leucorrhea is pus-like, yellow, foamy, or like rice water, grayish white, and smelly;

6. Fungal vaginitis: The leucorrhea is yellow or white, mostly viscous, sometimes thin, and typically appears like tofu dregs or curds;

Precautions

(1) Check regularly. Even if you do not feel any discomfort, you should have a comprehensive gynecological examination at least once a year;

(2) Avoid wearing tight pants, especially tight nylon underwear, and choose cotton underwear;

(3) Do not use sanitary pads on weekdays, wash the vulva with clean water and change underwear every night;

(4) Do not use various liquid medicines to clean the vagina, as this will damage the vagina's natural environment;

(5) Keep exercising, improve your physical fitness, get enough sleep, eat a healthy and balanced diet;

(6) Maintain a calm mental state and avoid being overly excited, angry, or impatient.
