How to treat scalds caused by boiling water, emergency treatment methods for scalds

Burns are a common accident in daily life. Burns from boiling water can be serious or minor. If it is just a minor burn to a small area, you can treat it yourself. If the burn is more serious, you need to go to the hospital for treatment. However, if timely treatment is taken after the scald, the harm of scalds from boiling water can be reduced.

1: Emergency treatment of scalds caused by boiling water

1: If you get scalded accidentally, you can add ice cubes to cold water and immerse the scalded area (such as fingers) in the water. This can not only relieve pain but also prevent redness, swelling and blisters.

2: Mash the ginger to extract the juice, and apply the ginger juice to the scalded area with cotton swabs. It has the effects of anti-inflammatory, analgesic, swelling-reducing and blister-removing. For slightly more serious cases, you can continuously drip ginger juice to keep it moist for several hours.

3: Take the inner membrane of a fresh egg and stick the side close to the egg white on the wound to protect the burned tissue from bacterial infection. Change it once a day and it will be cured in 3 to 5 days.

Dissolve white sugar in 3 times the amount of cold boiled water, then apply it continuously to the burned area and keep it moist for 1 to 2 hours. Burned fingers and toes can be directly immersed in sugar water solution.

2: Daily precautions for scalding with boiling water

Be careful about your diet: irritating foods such as alcohol, chili peppers, mutton, raw garlic, ginger, mustard, coffee, etc. will promote the proliferation of scar tissue, so these foods should be avoided during the recovery period.

Do not tear the skin of the wound. Allow the scab to fall off on its own and do not remove the scab forcibly. If the epidermal cells have not fully grown at this time, without the protection of the scab, pigmentation will form or an inflammatory reaction will occur.

Do not give the wound a chance to become inflamed and do not use methods such as scratching with your hands, washing with hot water, or rubbing with clothes to relieve itching. Because this will stimulate local capillary dilation and granulation tissue proliferation, forming scars.

Three: The principle of treating burns caused by water or fire is

First, remove the heat source and quickly leave the scene. Use various fire-fighting methods, such as immersion, water pouring, lying down and rolling on the spot, immediately taking off or cutting wet clothes, pouring water, and soaking limbs in cold water until the pain disappears. You can also cover the injured area with a wet towel or sheet and spray cold water on it. Do not break any blisters.
