What dietary care should be paid attention to in patients with adenomyosis of uterus

A friend of mine was recently diagnosed with uterine hypertrophy and adenomyosis. What dietary and health care measures should she take? She used to have dysmenorrhea every time she had her period. When it was serious, the pain was so severe that she couldn't straighten her back. The menstrual flow was also very heavy, and the menstrual period was irregular. Each cycle was very long. My friend was a little afraid of having her period every month. Everyone suggested that she go to the hospital for a check-up. In the end, it was diagnosed with uterine hypertrophy and adenomyosis. What dietary and health care measures should be taken in daily life for this disease? Let me introduce it to you now.

Dietary health care 1. Don’t be greedy for cold food: Women with poor gastrointestinal function should avoid eating raw, cold foods before and during menstruation, such as cold drinks, raw cold dishes, crabs, snails, clam meat, leeches, pears, persimmons, watermelons, bananas, bitter melon, mangosteen, mung beans, cucumbers, water chestnuts, grapefruits, oranges, etc., so as to avoid cold stagnation and blood stasis which may aggravate dysmenorrhea.

2. Don’t eat sour food: Acidic food has astringent effect, which makes the blood stagnant and is not conducive to the smooth flow and discharge of menstrual blood. Therefore, people with dysmenorrhea should try to avoid eating such food during menstruation. Acidic foods include rice vinegar, spicy and sour vegetables, pickles, pomegranates, green plums, bayberries, strawberries, star fruits, cherries, sour dates, mangoes, apricots, plums, lemons, etc.

3. Don’t eat spicy food: Some patients with dysmenorrhea already have heavy menstrual flow. Eating spicy, warm and irritating foods will aggravate pelvic congestion and inflammation, or cause excessive contraction of the uterine muscles, which will aggravate dysmenorrhea. Therefore, patients with dysmenorrhea should try to eat less or no foods such as chili pepper, pepper, garlic, onion, ginger, leek, chicken soup, durian and spicy condiments.

4. Do not eat foods that are hot, coagulant, or contain hormones, such as longan, red dates, donkey-hide gelatin, and royal jelly.

5. Do not eat mutton, shrimp, crab, eel, salted fish, black fish and other foods.

6. Eat more calcium-containing foods. You can also take active calcium citrate to supplement the lack of dietary calcium. Fold to edit this section Preventive care is based on the causes of endometriosis to prevent the occurrence of endometriosis.

The following preventive measures can be taken: 1. Avoid unnecessary gynecological examinations during menstruation. When an examination is necessary, be careful not to squeeze the uterus too hard to prevent the endometrium from being squeezed into the fallopian tubes and causing endometrial implantation in the abdominal cavity.

2. Avoid intrauterine surgery during menstruation. For example, the fallopian tube patency test must be performed 3 to 7 days after the menstruation is over. If the surgery is performed before the menstrual blood is clean, endometrial debris may enter the abdominal cavity through the fallopian tube and cause ectopic implantation.

3. Try to avoid gynecological surgery near the menstrual period. If it must be performed, be gentle and avoid squeezing.

4. Adhere to contraception and do not or rarely have artificial abortions. Because negative pressure suction is used, if the pressure and method used during the operation are inappropriate, it can also cause blood to flow back into the abdominal cavity and cause endometriosis implantation.

5. Extreme retroflexion of the uterus or stenosis of the cervix and vagina, congenital absence of vagina (with uterus) and other reproductive tract malformations, cervical adhesions can all cause poor or impossible menstrual discharge, and retrograde menstrual blood flow, which can cause endometriosis. Therefore, the above diseases should be actively treated to prevent the occurrence of endometriosis.

6. Avoid iatrogenic implantation. When undergoing myomectomy, especially when the uterine cavity is penetrated during the operation, or when undergoing cesarean section or cesarean section to evacuate the fetus, the surgical incision should be protected to avoid implantation of endometrial debris in the incision, causing abdominal wall incision endometriosis, or implantation in the pelvic cavity, causing pelvic endometriosis. 7. Pay attention to menstrual hygiene and avoid sexual intercourse during menstruation.

The above are all the dietary care and preventive measures that I know about daily for adenomyosis of the uterus. After suffering from this disease, patients should not be sad or anxious, but should be open-minded about the disease. Only by actively receiving treatment as early as possible can they recover faster. They should listen to the doctor in everything and remember the things that need attention.
