What are endometrial polyps?

The harm to women's bodies caused by endometrial polyps is very serious, but many people are not aware of it. The formation of this type of polyp may be due to inflammatory stimulation, endocrine disorders, or excessive estrogen levels in the body. This type of polyp often exists on the basal endometrium of the uterus, which can increase the amount of menstruation in female patients, cause menstrual disorders, and even become malignant.

Endometrial polyps can be prevented. In addition to taking good care of yourself during menstruation, after childbirth or after abortion, you should pay attention to vulvar hygiene in your daily life to prevent vaginal inflammation and cervical erosion. At the same time, you should maintain sexual hygiene. In addition, you should frequently dry your bedding, wear cotton underwear and wash and change it frequently. Cervical polyps are a manifestation of chronic cervicitis. The key to preventing cervical polyps is to keep the vulva clean and actively prevent and treat vaginitis and cervical erosion.

For married men and women, before each sexual intercourse, each person should clean the vulva, especially the man should remove the smegma to avoid bringing the bacteria in it into the vagina. You should dry your bedding frequently and change your underwear often. We should also strengthen physical exercise to improve the body's disease resistance.

In addition to preventing endometrial polyps, it is also very important for women to undergo regular gynecological examinations. Have regular gynecological examinations to detect problems and take timely treatment measures.

Infection is one of the causes of this disease, but sometimes there is no obvious trigger. It is mainly bacterial infection, and the types of infectious bacteria include: Staphylococcus, Escherichia coli, Streptococcus, anaerobic bacteria, and gonococci. In addition, there are infections with pathogens such as mycoplasma.

After suffering from endometrial polyps, about 40% of patients will experience pelvic pain, especially during menstruation, when they will feel a sense of heaviness in the lower abdomen or obvious soreness in the lumbar region. After suffering from endometrial polyps, the amount of leucorrhea will increase significantly, and there will be dysmenorrhea when menstruation comes. This disease can also cause the endometrium to thicken and even lead to endometrial fibrosis, causing the cervix to over-contract.
