How can women prevent urinary tract infections?

Female urinary tract infection refers to an inflammation caused by the massive reproduction of pathogens in the urethra and large-scale invasion of urethral tissue. Urethritis is more serious for women. Generally speaking, urethritis will cast a shadow on women's normal life. It will cause symptoms such as frequent urination and urgency. Severe cases will cause urinary pain or even difficulty urinating. Now many women suffer from urinary tract infection due to excessive pressure in life, so how to prevent it?

1. Pay attention to personal hygiene and change underwear frequently to prevent bacterial invasion and infection. It is recommended to wear cotton underwear, not chemical fiber or nylon underwear, and avoid wearing tight and non-breathable pants. Do not use public baths or bathtubs, do not sit on unsterilized toilets, and do not share a towel with others. After a bowel movement, wiping from front to back can prevent infection.

2. Drinking plenty of water and urinating frequently are the most effective prevention methods. Don’t wait until you are thirsty to drink water, especially in the hot summer. Frequent urination to flush the urethra is an important way to prevent and reduce urinary tract infections. However, some women have developed the bad habit of holding urine while working. Some people are even unwilling to drink water in order to reduce the trouble of going to the toilet. This will undoubtedly increase the chance of recurrent urinary tract infections.

3. Pay attention to sexual hygiene. Before sexual intercourse, both lovers should clean their bodies, which can help flush out bacteria around the genitals, otherwise bacteria may be sent to the bladder through sexual intercourse. After sexual intercourse, women should go to the toilet again, as urination can effectively "flush" bacteria.

4. Don’t over-clean. Some women are in the habit of flushing their vagina for a long time, thinking that this can keep it clean and prevent vaginitis. In fact, this practice will flush away the beneficial bacteria in the vagina, destroy the normal defense function of the vagina, and make it more likely to cause vaginitis. Vaginitis is often prone to urinary tract infection. Therefore, healthy women only need to wash their vulva and keep it clean.

Through the above analysis, women can effectively prevent and treat urinary tract infections by paying attention to some things in daily life. However, cross-infection may occur between husband and wife during sexual intercourse. Therefore, both husband and wife must do a good job of prevention, especially avoid sexual confusion, which will bring more harm to the family. Pay attention to healthy prevention in life.
