Is irregular menstruation a gynecological disease?

Women's bodies are most fragile and sensitive during menstruation, so you must pay attention to your diet during those days and avoid eating spicy or cold foods. Irregular menstruation is a disease that troubles many people. Dysmenorrhea, scanty menstruation or irregular menstruation are common phenomena, and irregular menstruation also causes great harm to women's bodies. So is irregular menstruation a gynecological disease?

Abnormal emotions cause menstrual disorders. Abnormal emotions, long-term mental depression, sulking, or suffering from major mental stimulation and psychological trauma can all lead to menstrual disorders or dysmenorrhea or amenorrhea. This is because menstruation is caused by the stimulation of the endometrium by hormones secreted by the ovaries, and the hormones secreted by the ovaries are controlled by the release of hormones from the pituitary gland and hypothalamus. Therefore, any abnormality in the function of the ovaries, pituitary gland, or hypothalamus will affect menstruation.

Cold stimulation causes oligomenorrhea or even amenorrhea, and irregular living habits. According to research, women who are exposed to cold stimulation during menstruation will cause excessive contraction of blood vessels in the pelvic cavity, which can cause oligomenorrhea or even amenorrhea. Therefore, women should have a regular daily life, avoid excessive fatigue, and especially keep away from cold and damp during menstruation.

Dieting causes menstrual irregularities. Expert studies on excessive dieting show that girls need body fat to account for at least 17% of their body weight for menarche to occur, and body fat must reach at least 22% of their body weight to maintain a normal menstrual cycle. Excessive dieting will cause a large amount of fat and protein in the body to be consumed due to insufficient energy intake, resulting in estrogen synthesis disorders and obvious estrogen deficiency, affecting menstruation, or even causing scanty menstruation or amenorrhea. Therefore, women who pursue a slim figure must not diet blindly.

Is irregular menstruation a gynecological disease? This issue needs to be discussed separately, because there are many reasons that induce irregular menstruation, and the pathological characteristics of different causes are also different. If irregular menstruation is caused by excessive dieting, it can be treated with dietary regulators. But if it is pathological, it is very likely that you have a gynecological disease.
