What are the causes and treatments of cervical erosion?

There are many reasons that may cause cervical erosion in female friends. Most female friends with cervical erosion will have irregular vaginal bleeding. At this time, it is best to pay attention to it and seek treatment. There are many kinds of treatments for cervical erosion. Let us learn about some common and effective methods of treating female cervical erosion.

Causes of cervical erosion

1. Unclean sexual life. As time goes by, premarital sex has become common, which provides a great opportunity for germs to invade. If men do not pay attention to hygiene, it is easy for germs to enter the vagina, infect the cervix and cause cervical erosion.

2. Excessive cleaning. Incorrect ways of cleaning the vagina, such as using highly concentrated lotions for vaginal flushing, can easily cause damage to the cervical epithelium and lead to cervical erosion.

3. Multiple sexual partners, excessive sexual intensity, sexual intercourse during menstruation, etc. are also causes of cervical erosion that cannot be ignored.

Treatment

The first method: electric ironing.

It is suitable to be performed within 3 to 7 days after the menstruation is completely over. When treating cervical erosion, place the electric iron head in contact with the eroded surface and apply slight pressure, moving it from the inside to the outside and back and forth until it slightly exceeds the eroded surface.

The second one: cryotherapy.

This method uses liquid nitrogen as a cooling source and a rapid cooling device to freeze, necrotize, and fall off the eroded tissue to treat cervical erosion. There is rarely any bleeding after the operation, but there is a lot of vaginal discharge, which usually lasts for 2 to 3 weeks. The necrotic tissue fell off in 6 weeks and the wound healed in 8 weeks.

The third method: laser therapy.

Laser is used to carbonize and scab the eroded tissue. The scab will fall off about 3 weeks after the operation, and new squamous epithelium will grow on the wound surface, achieving the purpose of treating cervical erosion. There is also a lot of vaginal discharge after laser treatment.

Therefore, while female friends should pay attention to genital hygiene, they should try not to over-clean it, as this may destroy the body's own immunity to diseases and cause many gynecological diseases. When erosion is found, the above methods can be used for effective treatment, and try to avoid harm to the female body due to long-term delays.
