What to do if a pregnant woman gets cold urticaria

Urticaria is a very common skin disease that anyone can get. There are many types of this disease, the most common ones are chronic and acute. There are also a few patients with cold urticaria. This disease often occurs in winter and has a lot to do with cold weather. Of course, it is also related to the patient's body warmth. Normal people can get the disease as long as they keep warm and take good care of themselves. But what should pregnant women do if they get cold urticaria?

1. Eliminate the cause

Eliminate the cause of the disease. Antibiotics are often needed when there is an infection. If you are allergic to certain foods, you should avoid eating them. Chronic infection is often the cause of chronic urticaria.

2. Antihistamines

Although antihistamines cannot directly counteract or neutralize histamine and cannot prevent the release of histamine, they can compete with histamine and quickly inhibit the formation of wheals.

(1) Atarax (hydroxyzine) can be used. It has good sedative and antihistamine effects and is effective for artificial urticaria, cholestatic urticaria and cold urticaria.

(2) Epinephrine and aminophylline can increase CAMP in mast cells and inhibit the release of histamine, which can quickly promote the disappearance of wheals or edema of acute urticaria or giant urticaria. Especially when aminophylline is used in combination with antihistamines or with epinephrine, it has a synergistic effect, which is particularly suitable for patients with concurrent asthma or abdominal pain.

(3) 6-Aminoacetic acid can be used for cold urticaria and giant urticaria, and atropine or propantheline and chlorpromazine can be used for cholestatic urticaria.

3. Topical medication

Calamine lotion or zinc oxide lotion can achieve temporary results.

4. Vitamin C Supplement

This recipe is an effective method for curing urticaria and has been proven in practice.

In fact, cold urticaria in pregnant women has no effect on the fetus, but many patients are worried that the disease will be inherited. It is normal for pregnant women to worry about the problem. This disease is also somewhat hereditary. Therefore, patients who have had cold urticaria should do a prenatal check-up before pregnancy to detect chromosomal abnormalities in time. By conceiving according to the doctor's method, you can avoid the possibility of fetal inheritance.
