What is the treatment for uterine prolapse?

Uterine prolapse is what we often call uterine prolapse. In fact, this prolapse means that the inner wall of the uterus prolapses into the vagina. Whether it is young or old women, uterine prolapse may occur. If you suffer from uterine prolapse, you will generally feel your lower abdomen falling down. People suffering from uterine prolapse don't have to worry, there are ways to cure uterine prolapse.

Uterine prolapse is also called uterine prolapse. The inner wall of the uterus cannot contract and recover well, and it sags into the vagina. In severe cases, it may extend outside the body. The common symptoms of uterine prolapse include at least a feeling of falling (the feeling that something is about to fall out of the lower abdomen), usually back pain, and in severe cases, it can affect the bladder and rectum, causing frequent urination, incomplete urination, or constipation.

Treatment:

Surgical treatment: The appropriate surgical method should be selected according to the patient's age, fertility requirements and physical condition. The main treatment for uterine prolapse is surgery. After a vaginal hysterectomy, the base ligaments and other stimuli are drawn and stabilized, and the pelvic floor muscles and vaginal wall are repaired at the same time, including repairing the anterior vaginal wall mucosa to prevent bladder prolapse, and repairing the posterior vaginal wall mucosa to prevent rectal prolapse. However, this method is not suitable for young infertile patients and elderly patients.

The key to treatment is to reposition the uterus. Commonly used methods of uterine reduction include bimanual reduction method, triple-manual reduction method, cervical clamp traction reduction method, chest-knee supine position reduction method, and surgical reduction method. After manual reduction, the patient is required to do chest-knee position exercises 1-2 times a day after emptying the bowels and bladder, each time for 10-15 minutes. If manual reduction is unsuccessful, surgical reduction can be used.

It is recommended that you undergo surgical treatment for uterine prolapse. In fact, the process is not very complicated, and the chance of cure is quite high. However, I still want to remind everyone that after undergoing surgery for uterine prolapse, you must insist on doing chest-knee position exercises after defecation, so that you can have a better recovery effect. However, elderly patients need to be aware of the risks when undergoing surgery.
