Brown discharge on underwear

Brown discharge on underwear

The health of a woman's urinary system is largely reflected in her secretions, so many people ask if brown secretions in the vagina are normal? Normally, the brown secretions in the vagina refer to discharge. So, if the discharge is brown, what may be the cause? Let’s take a look at this issue together.

There are three possible causes of brown vaginal discharge:

1. Ovulation bleeding.

Ovulation bleeding usually occurs in the middle and late stages of the 2 menstrual cycles, and the resulting vaginal bleeding or brown secretions usually last for 2 to 3 days. If non-menstrual secretions of this color appear periodically in the middle and late stages of the menstrual cycle, then the possibility of ovulation bleeding should be considered.

2. Dysfunctional uterine bleeding, also known as abnormal uterine bleeding due to imbalanced function.

Abnormal uterine bleeding is characterized by disruption of the menstrual cycle and changes in the amount and nature of bleeding. If brown secretions outside of menstrual periods are accompanied by menstrual disorders, the possibility of functional uterine bleeding should be considered.

3. Bleeding caused by other factors.

Excessive stress in life, excessive fatigue of the body, chronic cervicitis such as cervical erosion and cervical cysts can also cause gray-black or brown secretions in the vagina.

Under normal circumstances, it is normal to have brown secretions in the vagina before menarche and in the first 1-2 days after menstruation. However, brown secretions before menarche are caused by a small amount of uterine wall shedding. In rare cases, brown secretions are caused by luteal insufficiency.

If female friends do not have symptoms such as abdominal pain, yellow leucorrhea, strong odor or vulvar itching, they can continue to observe without worrying too much. Usually you can use warm water to clean the vulva, keep the area dry, clean and avoid infection. When this symptom occurs frequently, you need to go to the hospital for examination to understand the endocrine condition.

After reading the introduction, it can be confirmed that vaginal secretions of this color are generally abnormal, so once you find that you have secretions of this color, it is recommended that you go to the hospital for a check-up. It is highly recommended that many female friends, regardless of whether they have brown secretions in the vagina or not, should have regular urinary system health examinations to prevent the occurrence of various gynecological diseases.
