What is the reason for back pain before delivery?

Pregnancy is a very special stage, especially in the late pregnancy, that is, before delivery, many expectant mothers report that they often feel sore in their waist, which makes them very worried, because they are worried that they will have symptoms such as decreased appetite and poor sleep. In order to solve the troubles of expectant mothers, today we will talk about what the back pain is like for expectant mothers before delivery. In fact, such symptoms are very normal, so don't worry too much.

About two weeks before delivery, you will feel your upper abdomen relax, your breathing become easier, the uncomfortable feeling of pressure on your stomach is much relieved, and your appetite will increase as a result. This is the result of the fundus of the uterus beginning to descend. Then, the part of the fetus that was about to emerge first during delivery has descended to the entrance of the pelvis, causing signs of a distended lower abdomen and bladder pressure, as well as lower back and leg pain, difficulty walking, and frequent urination. The pain in the lower back indicates that the fetus in the womb is about to be born.

In addition to back pain, there are actually other signs that can let expectant mothers know that their baby is about to face the world.

1. "Seeing blood"

Time of occurrence: 24 to 48 hours before delivery.

The secret of "seeing blood": the fetal head begins to fall into the pelvis, the lower segment of the uterus and the cervix expand, and the nearby fetal membrane separates from the uterine wall, causing the capillaries to rupture and bleed, which mixes with the mucus in the cervix to form bloody mucous secretions.

2. Labor pains

Time of occurrence: Paroxysmal abdominal pain occurs 12 to 14 hours before delivery, usually starting between 10 pm and 6 am the next morning, and is the strongest evidence of labor.

3. Water breaking

When it occurs: A few hours before or near delivery.

Back pain, spotting, contractions, and water breaking before delivery all indicate that the baby is about to come into this world, so as expectant mothers, you must not be nervous or worried, but relax, prepare the things needed for the newborn, and go to the hospital in time to prepare for delivery. At this time, expectant mothers must supplement with enough food, maintain physical strength, and ensure the smooth arrival of the fetus.
