What is the cause of excessive vaginal discharge?

Leucorrhea is a common fluid in the female body. It is some mucus and exudate or synthetic discharge secreted from various parts of the reproductive organs. Leucorrhea is very rare under healthy conditions, and there should be no accidents. It should be in a long-term environment. Leucorrhea in healthy colleagues in daily life is mainly vaginal discharge, deep in the vagina. At the same time, where does the color quality change in daily life?

The main problem is abnormal leucorrhea. In clinical practice, most women have abnormal leucorrhea due to lack of attention to hygiene. In normal life, the vulva should be cleaned with clean water. If there is no gynecological disease or special bactericidal and anti-inflammatory needs, it is best not to use some women's washes.

Physiological leucorrhea includes secretions from the labia majora and minora, Bartholin's glands, vaginal exudates and cervical glands, as well as a small amount secreted by the endometrium. It is a white, flocculent, viscous liquid, the amount and properties of which vary slightly with the menstrual cycle.

1. The sensitivity of leucorrhea varies greatly from person to person. Some women have a lot of leucorrhea but do not feel any discomfort, while others, although their reproductive tract secretions are normal or only slightly increased, often have a wet feeling in the vulva and feel confused and uncomfortable, so they are eager to seek treatment. This is related to one's personality, social status and cultural level. In fact, all healthy women under the influence of estrogen have reproductive tract discharge, commonly known as leucorrhea, which should not be understood as a pathology. Among patients who complain of increased leucorrhea, about 10% have physiological leucorrhea, or normal cervical fluid, or normal exfoliation of vaginal epithelial cells. Therefore, for patients with increased leucorrhea, we should first distinguish whether it is physiological or pathological leucorrhea.

⒉ Observe the leucorrhea to determine the ovulation period. In the first half of the menstrual cycle, that is, the pre-ovulation period, the ovaries mainly secrete estrogen, and the secretion amount gradually increases. Under its effect, the amount of cervical mucus also gradually increases, and becomes thinner and more translucent. The lower body, which has been relatively dry after menstruation, will gradually become moist. When ovulation occurs, estrogen secretion reaches its peak, the amount of cervical mucus is the largest, and its toughness is the greatest. Clear mucus often flows out in strips that can sometimes be very long. At this time, the woman's lower body is the wettest. When the above-mentioned strip-like leucorrhea flows out, there will be a greasy feeling. It is different from the increased leucorrhea caused by vaginitis and cervical erosion. The former is clear and transparent, without any odor, of which more than 95% is water; the latter is yellow and thick or cheese-like, and makes the vulva itchy and uncomfortable, and often has a bad smell. During ovulation, the cervical mucus is secreted in large quantities for about 2 to 3 days, which is also the time when the lower body feels the most moist.

The above are the common conditions of increased leucorrhea. Normal leucorrhea in daily life will destroy the self-cleaning function of the vagina. It is a specific person's leucorrhea. There are many causes of the disease, mainly physiological and pathological. In some cases, it is mainly caused by disease, so in daily life, we must find out which disease causes the leucorrhea in order to correctly carry out proper treatment.
