What does a positive BV test mean?

The health of pregnant women is always a topic we can never stop talking about. It is a major issue for the entire society. The pregnant mother's BV is positive, which is very unfamiliar to us. So, what does a positive BV test in a pregnant woman mean? What should pregnant women pay attention to during prenatal checkups? Let's take a look together.

What does a positive BV test in a pregnant woman mean?

Let's first talk about what BV is. The so-called BV is actually a decrease in the amount of normal beneficial bacteria in the human urinary system. That's because the normal number of beneficial bacteria has been replaced by other beneficial bacteria. In other words, you may now be suffering from a certain disease.

If you find that your test results are positive after a corresponding gynecological examination, it means that you may have vaginitis. However, because there are many types of vaginitis, it is difficult to tell which type of vaginitis you actually have. Women need to undergo further examinations to clarify the situation, and then receive targeted treatment.

Many women will experience a lot of psychological stress when they see such a situation, mainly because they feel that they have some serious gynecological symptoms, which will cause great harm to their health. So, what does a positive BV result in a gynecological examination mean? What are the objective facts?

In fact, if a woman finds that she has a positive BV test after a gynecological examination, she does not need to panic. This condition is extremely common in clinical medicine. After further examination and confirmation of the symptoms, further treatment is carried out. Generally, the symptoms of patients can be completely cured after receiving reliable treatment. Please note that during the symptomatic treatment period, auxiliary treatment should be provided in terms of diet, daily life, etc., and sexual intercourse between men and women is prohibited at this time.

What should I pay attention to during prenatal check-up?

First, obstetric B-ultrasound. Regular B-ultrasound monitoring of the mother can detect the amniotic fluid flow, placental position, placental maturity, and whether the fetus has any deformities. You can also understand whether the baby's development is consistent with the number of weeks of pregnancy. Generally, an obstetric B-ultrasound is performed at the 34th week of pregnancy and again at the 37th to 38th week.

Second, fetal heart rate monitoring. The fetal heart rate is regulated by the central nervous system and the sympathetic nervous system. The monitoring graph generated by recording the changes in the fetal heartbeat in an instant through data signals can be used to understand the response of the fetal heartbeat when the baby moves and when the uterus contracts, so as to infer whether the fetus in the uterine cavity is short of oxygen. In a normal pregnancy, fetal heart rate monitoring should be performed once a week starting from the 37th week of pregnancy. If there are complications or diseases, it can be done from the 28th to 30th week of pregnancy.

Third, pregnancy-induced hypertension test. There are two main purposes: one is to predict pregnancy-induced hypertension, and the other is to evaluate placental function. The doctor uses instruments to test the pregnant woman's radial artery, measure the arteriovenous flow per minute, and then accurately measure various blood parameters, such as blood viscosity and the process of blood circulation changes. Based on these changes, doctors can adjust treatment plans and observe efficacy.

Therefore, a positive BV test for pregnant women is not very serious. Pregnant mothers do not need to put too much pressure on themselves, but should adjust their positive attitude and be happy every day. In addition, fathers also have to shoulder the burden of comforting their mothers, accommodating their mothers, and paying attention to their mothers, and spending as much time as possible with their mothers and coaxing their mothers.
