Improve flat feet

According to a survey on the prevalence of flat feet in China, it was found that up to 65% of children aged 3 to 6 have varying degrees of flat feet. In addition to heel valgus, the common clinical manifestations of flat feet are abnormal ankle joint arrangement, which causes uneven pressure in the joint, and is easily accompanied by symptoms such as plantar fasciitis, heel pain and knee pain. Parents can also observe the degree of decline of the inner arch of the child and the severity of wear on the inner side of the shoe to determine whether the child has flat feet.

Correction of flat feet is a therapeutic process. In addition to wearing corrective insoles, children's feet must be provided with appropriate exercise and appropriate stimulation in order to achieve the greatest improvement effect.

● Walk on tiptoes: at least 30 to 50 meters to increase myofascial tension (Figure 1).

●Twist the towel with your toes: Use your toes to twist the towel into a ball and then unfold it (Figure 2).

●Stretching exercise: Stand on the stairs with your feet and ankles suspended in the air. Relax your body weight naturally and stretch the Achilles tendon (Figure 3).

●Ankle push-down: Place a towel on the sole of your foot, hold the towel with both hands, and push down your ankle to train the strength of the calf muscles (Figure 4).

● Sensory and motor integration training: Place your hands on a stable surface, stand barefoot on the roller, and let the roller roll forward and backward (Figure 5).

● Use both big toes to pinch the sandbag: Sit down and use both big toes to pinch the sandbag from left to right (Figure 6).
