Pit and fissure sealing - a little helper for children's dental care

Dental caries is the primary problem that threatens children's oral health, and 80% of molar caries occur in the pits and fissures. Pit and fissure sealing is an important method recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) to protect permanent teeth. It can prevent bacteria and their products, food residues, etc. from eroding the tooth body, thereby achieving the purpose of preventing dental caries. This work focuses on several issues that parents are most concerned about, such as the method of pit and fissure sealing and the best time to implement it. It is hoped that through interesting popular science, parents will be aware of the importance of pit and fissure sealing, and take children of appropriate age for pit and fissure sealing in time to reduce the occurrence of dental caries and improve the oral health level of children in my country.
