GWI: Three reasons why Twitter should not be underestimated

Twitter has been through a turbulent period recently, with many commentators and analysts predicting more difficult times ahead. However, there is more evidence that the microblogging platform is still optimistic.

1. Twitter remains one of the top 5 most active social networks. The controversy surrounding Twitter's growth often forgets the strong position Twitter has gained. In terms of monthly active users, Twitter easily ranks among the top 5 most popular networks. Although Twitter lags behind Facebook, it is still ahead of its competitor Instagram.

2. Half of Twitter's active users visit Twitter every day. In addition to the traditional monthly active user metric, daily visits show another layer of insight. Although Facebook is still ahead in terms of daily active users, Twitter's engagement should not be underestimated. About half of Twitter's monthly active users log in at least once a day, and 3/4 of monthly active users log in weekly.
