Nielsen: 69% of respondents watch TV and use tablets several times a week

The latest Nielsen survey shows that 45% of Americans use tablets while watching TV, and 69% of respondents use their tablets while watching TV several times a week.

Their main activity during this period is checking emails, accounting for 61% of the overall users; among them, the proportion for those aged between 35 and 54 and those aged over 55 is 65%; and the proportion for female users is 64%.

Another important activity is logging into social networks, which accounts for 47% of the overall users, with users aged 13-17 performing most prominently, accounting for 62%.
