How to choose an avocado

When choosing an avocado, you should look at its appearance. A normal ripe avocado is dark green in color, but if there are spots, it means it is rotten. It is normal to feel grains when you touch an avocado. The skin of a fresh avocado is very firm and elastic. If you can easily break off the stem of the avocado, it means the avocado is ripe.

Avocados are usually dark green in color, but if the color of the avocado has turned dark green, it means that the avocado is ripe, and this is the best time to eat avocados. If the color of the avocado has become very dark and there are dark spots on the surface, it means that the avocado is rotten.

In fact, fresh avocados have uneven particles on the surface, and the skin is very firm when touched and elastic when pressed. If the surface of the avocado is soft and water comes out when pressed, then the inside of the avocado may have begun to deteriorate and cannot be eaten.

Fresh avocados are usually attached to the stem. If you can easily break off the stem, it proves that the avocado is ripe. If the stem cannot be broken off, it proves that the avocado is not ripe. Generally, when buying avocados, it is recommended to buy them with the stem, which can extend the shelf life of the avocado.

Avocado taste

Avocados have a unique taste. The flesh is soft and tastes like cheese. It has a walnut-like flavor and leaves a strong aroma. Avocados can be eaten directly, or spread on bread or directly spread with mayonnaise. People who are not used to it may find it unacceptable.

Avocado tastes greasy, similar to fat, and its taste is quite different from other traditional fruits, so not everyone can get used to it.

Generally speaking, avocados are eaten with other foods, such as milk, apples, oranges, bread, etc., and avocados are not eaten alone.

Black avocados are ripe and taste better. Don't buy green avocados, as they will taste astringent. In terms of feel, it is recommended to choose avocados that are moderately hard and soft.
