What is atypical glandular cell disease?

Atypical glandular cells should be detected in the cervical TCT test, which means that abnormal glandular cells are found in the somatic cells of the cervix. This type of situation should alert you to the possibility of cervical adenocarcinoma. If this happens, you should do another cervical scraping and then re-examine the pathology to see if there are any abnormalities. If no abnormality is found in the scraping, TCT can be tested again after half a year to a year (be sure to brush out the cervical canal). If a problem is found, the next treatment plan should be decided based on the pathological results.

If a cervical cytology test is performed and atypical glandular cells are found, this should be a serious sign, indicating that there may be severe cervicitis or cervical precancerous lesions. It is recommended that you go to the gynecology department of a tertiary hospital for treatment, cooperate with the doctor to take cervical secretions for examination, diagnose whether there is HPV virus infection, and take some biopsy tissue for pathological examination to diagnose whether there are precancerous lesions.

If precancerous lesions are cleared, it should be cell mutation caused by severe cervicitis. If there is no HPV infection, but only cervical erosion, you can cooperate with the doctor to use cervical coating method for treatment, or use physical methods such as body-controlled electrotherapy, cooling or laser treatment. Use physical methods for treatment. Sexual intercourse should be avoided within two months. During the treatment period, daily cleaning of the vulva should be done to avoid vaginitis.

What does atypical squamous cells mean?

What does atypical squamous cells mean? Squamous cells are normal tissues. If they grow on the skin, they are normal squamous cells. If lesions, atypical squamous cells, may appear in other areas of growth, it may be a manifestation of precancerous lesions.

For example, lung cancer is divided into squamous cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma. When the tumor changes to squamous cell carcinoma but does not achieve the typical manifestations of squamous cells, it is between normal tissue and squamous cells. We call it atypical squamous cells. For example, it has the manifestations of normal lung tissue and it also has the manifestations of squamous cells. This is the meaning of atypical squamous cells. We must be extra careful with this atypical clinical cell as it may be a precancerous disease. For this situation, we can either perform surgery to remove it or closely observe it to prevent it from transforming into a malignant tumor. This is our explanation of the common problems of non-squamous cells.
