What is vaginal flatulence? Is it a disease?

Vaginal flatulence is a rather embarrassing thing for women, but this phenomenon does occur in many married women in daily life. This phenomenon is not under the control of the women themselves, especially during the sexual life of the couple. If this phenomenon suddenly occurs, it will always seem rather petty. So, what causes vaginal flatulence in women?

1. What is vaginal flatulence?

Because it actually refers to a manifestation of gas discharge from a woman's vagina. When it occurs, it is like farting and she cannot control it. In severe cases, there is usually a rustling sound, which will continue to occur continuously. In fact, this phenomenon is due to physiological changes, or after women have damaged the vaginal fibers after giving birth, due to muscle weakness, a large amount of gas is produced during the friction process.

2. Causes of vaginal flatulence

1. Vaginal infection

Many women often notice a slight gas discharge from their vagina, and at the same time, the amount of secretions also increases significantly. They often feel discomfort in the vagina, such as itching. This is usually because a large number of microorganisms multiply in the vagina, causing changes in the microenvironment of the vagina. Therefore, when the abdominal pressure in women increases or the posture changes, vaginal flatulence will occur.

2. Rectovaginal fistula

For some women with rectovaginal fistula, because there is an abnormal passage between the duodenum and the vagina, when the anus is deflated, a small amount of gas will enter the woman's vagina through the fistula, and then be discharged from the body through the vagina. These conditions may be congenital or acquired. Acquired causes are mostly related to surgical trauma.

3. Complications during childbirth

Nowadays, everyone consumes a lot of blood and qi in the process of childbirth. After giving birth, there will always be a state of qi and blood deficiency, and there will be varying degrees of damage in the vagina. At this time, it often causes qi deficiency and vaginal flatulence.

During the delivery process, the vagina will expand significantly, and it usually takes a long time to recover after giving birth. At this time, the pelvic floor muscles and various muscle tissues may be ruptured or perforated, making it impossible for the front and back walls of the vagina to fit normally, allowing a large amount of air to enter the cavity, resulting in vaginal flatulence.
