Belly jumps in late pregnancy

Belly jumps in late pregnancy

I'm already 35 weeks pregnant, and I often feel my abdomen jumping up and down, about 30 to 40 times at a time, and 4 to 5 times a day. It's more common before going to bed, but there's no uncomfortable feeling. It's obviously not the baby's fetal movement, just like the heart rate increases when you're nervous, thump thump, but it's definitely the position of the uterus, and it's relatively low. Why do you often feel your abdomen jumping in the later stages of pregnancy?

Most of these situations are due to the fact that the uterine muscles are more sensitive in the weeks before delivery, and there may be irregular contractions, continuous fast speed, weak strength, or only limited to the lower part of the uterus. If it stops after several hours and the cervix cannot dilate, it is not labor and is called false labor. This is a normal phenomenon in late pregnancy.

Experienced pregnant mothers around me would also say this: This is because the baby is swallowing the amniotic fluid, and there will be a shaking feeling like a pulse, just like an adult breathing. Because the fetus's lungs have not yet developed well, it must continue to swallow the amniotic fluid, and train the lungs to breathe while swallowing the amniotic fluid, so that it can breathe normally like an adult after birth. It seems to make sense.

If there is no abdominal pain or bleeding, and the fetal heartbeat, fetal movement, and amniotic fluid are normal, there is generally no significant impact. Now in the late pregnancy, you should pay attention to a comprehensive examination to check the fetal heartbeat, fetal movement, and amniotic fluid, to see if the embryo is fragile, and whether the fetus is suffering from lack of oxygen. Regular pre-delivery examinations should be carried out. Once periodic uterine contractions, abdominal pain, bleeding, and rupture of amniotic fluid occur, it means that delivery is imminent, and you should be hospitalized for delivery immediately.
