Chancroid is actually a symptom. This symptom is a typical manifestation that only appears after women are infected with syphilis. It is an early symptom. Generally, when this symptom appears, it means that women are more likely to have syphilis. Therefore, when this symptom appears again, it must be taken seriously, relevant examinations and diagnoses must be done, and treatment measures must be taken in time. So what should women do if they have chancre?

1. Chancroid is a typical manifestation of primary syphilis and is highly contagious. Women with chancroid may experience symptoms such as ulcerative red spots, fatigue, swollen lymph nodes, high fever, chest pain, and chancroid on the genitals. It is recommended that once suspected symptoms appear, you must go to the hospital in time for a blood test to check whether you have syphilis, so as to achieve early detection and early treatment.

2. Usually, 9-90 days after the spirochete invades the human body, chancre will appear in the affected area. Its main characteristics are that it is initially a single dark red maculopapule or papule, which slowly grows and soon forms erosive surface and shallow ulcers. The boundaries of the lesions are clear and it feels like cartilage when touched. There is no pain and it is painful to touch.

3. Chancroid is an early manifestation of syphilis and is caused by infection with Treponema pallidum. Chancroid appears an average of three weeks after infection with Treponema pallidum and is an inflammatory response at the site of invasion. It mainly occurs on the external genitalia, but can also be seen on the lips, breasts, tongue, face, fingers, etc. The main manifestations are round or oval ulcers, usually 1-2 cm in diameter, painless ulcers with clear borders, surrounding embankment-like protrusions, a flat base, clean, flesh-colored upper surface, a small amount of mucus exudate, and a large number of Treponema pallidum. The lesions are usually single, cartilage-like in consistency, and can heal on their own in 3-6 weeks. By taking samples from the chancre and finding Treponema pallidum in the dark field, the diagnosis can basically be confirmed.
