What is the reaction after taking the ovulation injection?

When treating female infertility, women are usually given ovulation-stimulating injections, so that women can have sex with their men quickly after taking the ovulation-stimulating injections, which can increase the probability of pregnancy. The main function of the ovulation-stimulating injection is to help women ovulate, because women ovulate in a fixed cycle. If you want to get pregnant quickly, you have to ovulate in advance. So what will the female body react to after taking the ovulation injection?

What are the symptoms of ovulation after taking ovulation induction injections?

1. The basal body temperature drops. When the ovulation period arrives, the basal body temperature will rise, but on the ovulation day, the female body temperature will suddenly drop, and then on the next day, the body temperature will rise again. The change in basal body temperature can be used to determine the ovulation day, so as to plan the time of sexual intercourse and increase the chance of conception.

2. Increased cervical mucus secretion. On the day of ovulation, women will observe that the cervical mucus is very thin and translucent, and the secretion volume is also large. In the first half of the menstrual cycle, the cervix does not secrete mucus and the vulva is very dry. After this, the cervix secretes a small amount of thick, opaque mucus. Just before ovulation occurs, with the appearance of estrogen, luteinizing hormone (LH) secretion reaches its peak, and the cervical mucus becomes thinner, transparent, and clear, and the amount also increases. Ovulation day symptoms are more obvious at this point.

3. Ovulation pain. Not every woman feels ovulation pain. When women ovulate, they will have some pain in their lower abdomen. This is relative to the general population. Some women cannot feel the ovulation pain, but some women have very obvious ovulation pain. When ovulating, there will be obvious pain in the abdomen, which is very easy to detect. Therefore, it is necessary to judge based on the specific physical condition of the woman.

How to inject ovulation-stimulating injection

On the 3rd to 5th day of withdrawal bleeding or menstruation, inject 2 vials (containing FSH 75 units, LH 75 units, dissolved in sodium chloride injection into 1-2 ml) intramuscularly daily for 7 consecutive days. At the same time, monitor the changes in the follicles with B-ultrasound. When the follicles reach 20mm and the urinary estrogen reaches 100-200ug in 24 hours, inject HCG 5000-10000 units on the day after the last use of this product to induce ovulation. If pregnancy fails, the treatment can be repeated for 2 cycles.

If the urine estrogen exceeds 200ug in 24 hours, HCG should not be used to avoid overstimulation. If ovulation still does not occur, the injection frequency can be increased to 3 to 4 injections per day under B-ultrasound monitoring or urinary estrogen monitoring. For most patients, the treatment course is within 10 days. If FSH is used alone, the initial dose is 150 units, injected intramuscularly once a day.

What are the symptoms of ovulation after taking an ovulation-stimulating injection? The symptoms that appear when the body ovulates are similar and will not be different because of the ovulation-stimulating injection. You must be able to seize the opportunity when ovulating after taking the ovulation-stimulating injection. If you are not clear about what to do on the ovulation day, you should seek guidance from a professional gynecologist.
