The fetal monitor shows how many times it moves in 20 minutes.

The number of times the fetal monitoring shows movement in 20 minutes is determined by the frequency of fetal activity, which is related to the physical condition of each baby. Under normal circumstances, the fetal movement must reach more than three times in 20 minutes of fetal monitoring to be considered normal. Fetal monitoring is usually performed at 35 weeks of pregnancy, and the time of fetal monitoring is determined based on the doctor's opinion. The normal fetal monitoring time cannot exceed 1 hour.

Fetal heart rate monitoring for 20 minutes and how many fetal movements are considered normal:

You can eat something before doing fetal heart monitoring, which is said to stimulate the fetus to move more. While there's no evidence that eating actually works, it can't hurt. It's best to go to the bathroom before doing this, as you may have to stay next to the fetal heart rate monitor for up to 40 minutes.

When doing fetal heart monitoring, it is best to lie on your left side and you can also use a backrest. In some hospitals in China, pregnant women will sit reclined in a chair for fetal heart monitoring, similar to the way you sit in a reclining chair. The fetal heart rate monitor operator will strap two small, round, devices to your belly. These two small round cakes, one is used to monitor the baby's heartbeat, and the other is used to record your uterine contractions. Sometimes the operator may also ask you to press a button when you feel your baby move. Each fetal heart monitoring session usually lasts 20 to 40 minutes. The operator can hear the fetal heartbeat and see it on an electronic screen. At the same time, the fetal heart rate monitor will record the contractions on paper.

Fetal heart rate monitoring time:

During prenatal check-ups, each fetal heart monitoring session lasts about 20 minutes, and is performed continuously and uninterruptedly using a fetal heart monitor. If any abnormality is found, the monitoring time will be extended. For high-risk pregnant women, hospitalization is required to monitor the fetal heart rate after 35 weeks of pregnancy. If necessary, each monitoring time will exceed 1 hour.

For a normal pregnancy, fetal heart rate monitoring will be performed at every prenatal checkup starting from the 32nd week of pregnancy, and once a week starting from the 37th week of pregnancy. If the pregnancy is high-risk or has comorbidities or complications, such as gestational hypertension, post-term pregnancy, diabetes and pregnancy, this examination may be performed starting from the 28th week of pregnancy. Pregnant women can also monitor their fetal heart rate at home. The doctor will first determine the position of the fetal heart rate. Then when the pregnant woman is at home, the husband can simply put his ear against the pregnant woman's abdominal wall and listen once to several times a day.

Fetal heart monitoring is only valid if the data is uninterrupted for 20 minutes, and fetal movement is considered normal only if it is more than three times.

After understanding the time for fetal heart monitoring, when monitoring the baby's fetal heart, the time must be based on the above. However, during pregnancy, women must protect themselves in all aspects, especially in terms of diet, and choose some high-protein foods, which will be very helpful for the baby's physical growth.
