Breast fibroid symptoms

Breast fibroid symptoms

Breast fibroids are very harmful to women's health. Generally speaking, no matter what kind of disease occurs, the body will usually show symptoms, but some symptoms may not be particularly obvious and are easily ignored. By the time the symptoms become obvious, they have often begun to become malignant or cancerous. The harm of breast fibroids after malignant transformation is very great. What are the symptoms of breast fibroids?

Breast fibroid symptoms

1. Lumps appear

Early breast fibroids will appear as lumps. The size of the lumps varies from person to person. For some people, the size is only 2-3 cm, about the size of a cherry tomato, while for others, the lumps grow to about 10 cm, and the largest can even reach about 24 cm. The lump in the breast is oval or original, smooth and tough. When pinched by hand, the lump can move freely and will not stick to the epidermis and pectoral muscles.

2. Slight pain

Most breast fibroids do not cause obvious pain, and only about 14% cause mild pain. This pain is not continuous, but can be felt occasionally, and may also be triggered during menstruation.

3. Axillary lymph nodes

Axillary lymph nodes are normal and not enlarged.

4. Nipple overflow

Breast fibroids can cause clear fluid to leak from the nipple, but the probability of this happening is less than 1%, only 0.75%.

How do breast fibroids form?

1. It is related to the stimulation of estrogen. The breast tissue of some women is more sensitive to estrogen. Under the stimulation of estrogen, hyperplasia will occur in the fibrous tissue and glandular epithelium within the mammary lobules.

2. Endocrine factors. The causes of breast fibroids in some patients are related to endocrine, such as women who have their first menstruation before the age of 12, women who have not yet reached menopause after the age of 55, women who have not given birth to their first child after the age of 35, and women who do not breastfeed after giving birth. These symptoms indicate that estrogen acts for a longer time.

3. Genetic factors. If a relative of the previous generation (such as the mother) has breast fibroids, the chances of the next generation developing the disease will be very high. It has now been discovered that if a patient's blood contains a gene called BRCA-1, which is also present in their children, then the patient's children are very likely to develop breast fibroids.

4. Congenital factors

Some people are naturally very sensitive to estrogen, perhaps because the fibroblasts in the breast lobules contain a relatively large number of estrogen receptors.

5. Irregular lifestyle

Excessive mental stress, emotional instability, excessive fat intake, unbalanced diet, long-term work in a radiation environment, etc. may be the causes of breast fibroids.
