What does a female vagina look like?

The vagina is located between the private parts and the uterus. It is wider at the top, surrounding the cervix, and narrow at the bottom, opening into the vaginal vestibule. Normally, the front and back walls of the vagina are close to each other, and the hymen covering the outer opening of the vagina is broken. There is a small round hole in the hymen that allows menstruation to be discharged. Usually during the first sexual intercourse, the hymen is broken and can cause tearing and bleeding. The vaginal wall has many longitudinal wrinkles and elastic fibers with great flexibility. The vaginal mucosa is light pink, has no glandular ducts, and changes regularly under the influence of estrogen. The vagina is a safe passage for sexual intercourse, menstrual discharge and delivery of the fetus.

Women's internal reproductive organs refer to the hidden part of the female reproductive organs, which are composed of the position and transport channels of the prostate, including the vagina, uterus, bilateral fallopian tubes and ovaries. The vagina is a muscular channel composed of mucosal muscle layer and outer membrane, which is the safe passage for sexual intercourse organs, menstrual blood discharge, and fetal discharge. Located in the center of the lower side of the true pelvis, it is a wide tube at the top and narrow at the bottom. The front wall is about 7-9 cm long, close to the bladder and urethral opening, and the back wall is about 10-12 cm long, close to the duodenum.

The vagina is often in a collapsed state with the front and back walls touching each other, surrounding the cervix above and opening to the back of the vaginal hall below. The vaginal wall is composed of mucous membrane and fibrous tissue membrane, which is relatively sensitive, has many crazy wrinkles, and has great flexibility. The color of the normal vaginal wall is dark red, covered with phospholipid epithelial cells, and has no glandular ducts. The inner and outer openings of the vagina are covered with a layer of plastic film, which is the broken hymen. There are connective tissue, blood vessels and peripheral nerves. There are many small round holes in the center of the membrane, which will split during the first sexual intercourse.

The female urethral opening is located above the vagina. The female perineum is separated from the labia majora and the upper opening is relatively small, with a diameter of about 0.5 cm, which is the urethral opening; the larger opening below the urethral opening is the labia minora. Therefore, the female urethral opening is located between the ischial tuberosity plane and the vagina. The female urethral opening is relatively straight, and anatomically resembles a straight line, with a diameter of about 0.4 cm and a length of about 4-6 cm. The female urethra originates from the junction of the bladder and urethra, passes through the front of the vagina, and opens into the vaginal vestibule.
