What to do if cervical erosion and bleeding occur frequently

Cervical erosion is a gynecological disease. Many women with cervical erosion will have symptoms such as abdominal pain, excessive secretions, irregular appearance, etc., which bring a lot of inconvenience to the daily life of female patients. What should I do if I suffer from cervical erosion and persistent bleeding? In fact, female friends should not worry too much, as cervical erosion and bleeding can be solved through treatment. Below are some treatments for cervical erosion, you can learn about them.

1. Overview

Erosion-like changes in the cervix are only a clinical sign, which can be either physiological or pathological. That is, cervical erosion may be normal. Erosion-like changes in the cervix may occur in chronic cervicitis, cervical physiological columnar epithelial ectopia, cervical intraepithelial neoplasia, and early cervical cancer. Many patients feel terrified when they hear about cervical erosion. This disease will occur in almost all women. Now the name of "cervical erosion" has been cancelled and replaced by the physiological phenomenon of "cervical columnar epithelium ectopia".

2. Steps/Methods:

1. Physiological columnar epithelial ectopia is more common in adolescence. Women of childbearing age have strong estrogen secretion. During oral contraceptives or pregnancy, due to the effect of estrogen, the squamous-columnar junction moves outward, and the cervix has an erosive appearance, that is, the external opening of the cervix is a fine granular red area.

2. Physiological cervical erosion is mostly asymptomatic, and pathological cervicitis, such as chronic cervicitis, is also mostly asymptomatic. A few will have increased vaginal discharge, which is light yellow or purulent, and contact bleeding after sexual intercourse or during gynecological examinations. For physiological columnar epithelial ectopia that shows erosion-like changes but is asymptomatic, no treatment is required.

3. For erosive changes accompanied by increased secretions, papillary hyperplasia or contact bleeding, local physical therapy can be given, including laser, freezing, microwave and other methods. Baofukang suppositories, Weiyinkang and other auxiliary treatments can also be given. Anyone with a history of sexual life and erosive changes in the cervix should undergo cervical precancer screening.

3. Notes:

Before physical therapy, routine cervical cancer screening is required. Physical therapy cannot be performed if there is acute genital tract inflammation. Physical therapy should be performed only after the infection is controlled. Physical therapy should be performed within 3-7 days after the end of menstruation. There will be a small amount of vaginal bleeding 1-2 weeks after physical therapy due to scabbing at the cervix. Sexual intercourse, tub bathing, and vaginal douching are prohibited for 1-2 months after physical therapy. Regular follow-up examinations are required after physical therapy to observe the healing of the wound and whether there is cervical stenosis.
