What to do if a pregnant woman can't stand toothache

Many people have suffered from toothache in life, and only those who have experienced it know the uncomfortable state of being unable to eat or sleep when having a toothache. If a pregnant woman has toothache, it will be even more uncomfortable. After all, pregnant women will experience many discomforts in their bodies during pregnancy. If you treat your teeth during pregnancy, you must also consider whether it will affect the fetus in the womb.

What to do if a pregnant woman can't stand toothache

1. Generally, if it is just periodontitis or swollen and painful gums, just put some pepper, ginger, mint, etc. on the painful area. Although it cannot cure periodontitis, it is still very effective in suppressing pain. Pregnant women may wish to try it.

2. Cut the garlic into slices and apply it to the wrist vein. Of course, this method is a folk remedy and its effectiveness has not been confirmed. However, it is harmless to pregnant women. If it hurts on the left side, apply it to the right wrist vein, and vice versa if it hurts on the right side.

3. Melt the MSG and hold it in your mouth for 1 minute. This can also relieve toothache. Note that the ratio of MSG to water is 1 to 50. It must not be too concentrated.

4. We all know that salt water can disinfect and sterilize, but I believe many people know that salt water can also treat toothache. Dilute salt with water, the thicker the better, and then apply the salt water to the toothache area. If it is too salty in your mouth, just wet a cotton swab and gently apply it to the toothache area.

Causes of toothache in pregnant women

Toothache caused by getting angry: Generally speaking, toothache in pregnant women is nothing more than getting angry or periodontitis pain caused by eating spicy food. In fact, the treatment method is relatively simple and no medicine is needed. Just eat more foods or vegetables that reduce heat. Foods like lily or bitter gourd can reduce heat.

Toothache caused by caries and periodontitis: This type of toothache is generally divided into early, mid and late pregnancy treatments. It is not recommended for pregnant women in the early pregnancy to go to the dentist for treatment because the fetus is not very stable yet. Toothache treatment can be carried out in the mid-pregnancy, but it must be done under the doctor's instructions. Pregnant women in the late pregnancy should never have their teeth extracted for toothache. All pregnant women must see their prenatal checkup doctor before going to the dentist. Do not fill or extract teeth without permission, as using any medication may cause unimaginable consequences.
