Why does a pregnant woman have intestinal pain?

Many women will always encounter some special disease symptoms during pregnancy. Some expectant mothers experience intestinal pain during pregnancy. Many expectant mothers are confused about this situation and don’t know what causes it. Most diseases in this part are related to the diet of pregnant women during pregnancy. So, what causes bowel pain in pregnant women?

First, what causes intestinal pain in pregnant women? The fetal movement is active in the 8th month of pregnancy, and the frequent movements make the pregnant mother feel pain, but this stomach pain will disappear naturally after a while. This is normal. Of course, if there is continuous frequent fetal movement, you need to be highly vigilant, because it may mean that the condition of the fetus is not very good, such as hypoxia, which will cause great harm. Late miscarriage mainly refers to abdominal pain and vaginal bleeding after 12 weeks of pregnancy. The process of late miscarriage is similar to childbirth. First, there are bursts of abdominal pain due to uterine contractions, and then placental detachment and bleeding. Therefore, its condition is more serious than early miscarriage, but generally late miscarriage rarely occurs.

Second, starting from the 28th week of pregnancy, the abdomen will often experience "false contractions". If the pregnant woman stands or sits in the same posture for a long time, she will feel her abdomen hardening (i.e. symptoms of tight stomach). This is "false contractions". Its characteristics are irregular time of occurrence and sometimes strong and sometimes weak degree. Before delivery, due to the traction stimulation of the lower segment of the uterus caused by the descending fetal head, false contractions will become more and more frequent. This is also normal. Abdominal pain during pregnancy is a very common phenomenon. There are many reasons for abdominal pain. If it is at the beginning of pregnancy and the abdominal pain is not very painful, then it is okay. This type of abdominal pain is actually more of a physical pain, caused by the baby growing slowly and stretching the uterus. If your stomach hurts a lot, it's best to go to the hospital for a check-up immediately. Many pregnancy problems can cause symptoms such as bleeding or abdominal pain.

Why do pregnant women have intestinal pain? In the later stages of pregnancy, the fetus gradually grows larger and the intra-abdominal pressure also increases. If the hiatus widens, the bottom of the stomach can be pushed into the chest cavity through the widened esophageal hiatus. This is medically called hiatal hernia. Because the upper opening of the stomach is loose, gastric acid, gas, and food in the stomach can reflux into the esophagus or mouth. Gastric acid stimulates the esophageal mucosa, and reflux esophagitis occurs, which can cause abdominal pain in pregnant mothers. This situation occurs occasionally and requires treatment in the hospital. In the early, late or early middle stages of pregnancy, because the uterus and its accessory organs enter the abdominal cavity, cyst torsion is more likely to occur, causing the pregnant mother to experience intermittent abdominal pain on one side, accompanied by nausea, vomiting and exhaustion.
