Abdominal pain at night near due date

Abdominal pain at night near due date

We all know that women will have uterine contractions before giving birth, but there is a kind of uterine contraction called false uterine contraction. This kind of work will not cause women's amniotic fluid to rupture, but will make them have stomach pain all the time, especially near the due date, false uterine contraction will appear more frequently, always making people feel scared, so what should I do if I have stomach pain at night near the due date?

Frequent urination caused by fetal pelvic engagement

If you already have frequent urination in the middle and late stages of pregnancy, the symptoms of frequent urination and constipation will become more severe as the fetus enters the pelvis. Mothers will find that they have to go to the toilet more often in a short period of time, and feel like they can never finish urinating. This is normal. If you want to relieve frequent urination, avoid drinking a lot of water before going to bed. At the same time, try not to hold your urine to avoid leaking urine due to being too hasty.

At the same time, you can continue to exercise your sphincter, contracting and relaxing the muscles of the vagina and anus, doing 200 sets a day, 2-3 times a day. It can exercise the pelvic floor muscles, improve the labor force of pregnant women, and also prevent postpartum coughing and urinary incontinence. Postpartum tearing can easily cause pelvic floor muscle relaxation, so it is necessary to exercise in advance.

The difference between true and false contractions

False labor will cause the abdomen to feel tight and hard, but the intensity varies and there is no regularity. It usually lasts for a few hours and then disappears. When I was pregnant with my first child, I also had frequent false labor contractions a week before delivery. Moreover, the pain started at 10-12 o'clock every night, and it continued like this for several days in a row. I thought I was about to give birth, but later I went to the hospital and found out that it was false labor.

True uterine contractions are regular contractions of the uterus with intervals gradually shortening, starting out every 20-30 minutes, slowly becoming every 10-15 minutes, and finally every 5 minutes. This means birth is about to begin. As the contractions become more frequent, the pain will become more intense, and the cervix will slowly dilate.

How to relieve false labor?

Avoid overwork in the late pregnancy and do not do housework for more than 15 minutes at a time. Sexual intercourse is prohibited in the late stages of pregnancy to avoid stimulation of the abdomen and breasts. When you are at home or going out, you should take care to protect your abdomen from impact to avoid fetal injury or premature birth. If your stomach is often hard, you need to do fetal heart monitoring to see if there are irregular uterine contractions. In addition, if water breaks, regular uterine contractions, or spotting occurs in late pregnancy, these are all signs of labor and you need to seek medical attention immediately.
