1. If the itching is caused by prickly heat, it is actually very easy to treat. Just make sure the room temperature is not too high and wipe it clean with a towel when you sweat a lot, and the condition will usually improve.

2. In addition to treating tinea versicolor with antimicrobial topical medications, keeping the skin ventilated and dry is also important. Eczema changes on local skin. The most common changes on local skin after childbirth are hand eczema and areola eczema.

3. For itching of hands and areola:

(1) Apply lotion after washing hands: It is recommended that mothers strengthen their skin care work and apply lotion immediately after washing hands. If you are worried that your baby may get their hands dirty, you can use the same baby lotion as your baby, or use mild vaseline.

(2) Wipe with warm water: The nipples do not need to be cleaned excessively. Just wipe them lightly with warm water before feeding. After feeding, you can squeeze out more milk to moisturize the skin.

(3) Wear nursing bras: It is best to wear nursing bras made of cotton with good support to reduce friction between the breast skin and clothes.

4. Avoid irritating foods. Irritating foods should be avoided as much as possible. Spicy foods and alcohol will aggravate the itching sensation in the body.

5. Do not use water temperature that is too high: When taking a bath, do not use water that is too hot just because you feel itchy. After taking a bath, apply moisturizing lotion while your skin is still moist.

6. Pay attention to cleanliness: Mothers who sweat easily should pay attention to maintaining appropriate indoor temperature and humidity even if they cannot take a bath during the confinement period; wear cotton clothes with good sweat absorption, and take a bath every day, paying special attention to the wrinkles of the skin.

7. Keep a happy mood: The most important thing is to keep a happy mood and get enough sleep. Ask more experienced mothers for advice and don’t be too nervous about everything. Because physical and psychological stress is often an invisible killer of skin health.
