Tips for midnight dysmenorrhea and insomnia

Dysmenorrhea is a problem that many women with cold body or cold uterus have. It refers to the abdominal pain that women experience during menstruation. Dysmenorrhea can bring great pain to women. In order to relieve this pain, female friends can choose six methods to deal with it: hot compress, boiling brown sugar water, proper exercise, reasonable diet, taking painkillers, and maintaining physical and mental pleasure.

1. Hot compress method

The most basic way for women to relieve and treat dysmenorrhea is to keep warm to speed up their blood circulation and effectively relax muscles, especially by placing a hot water bag on the lower abdomen for several minutes at a time. You can also drink more hot water, or use moxa sticks to burn the lower abdomen of women. Avoid heavy physical labor and strenuous exercise to help relieve dysmenorrhea symptoms.

2. Method of boiling brown sugar water

Another more household method is to boil brown sugar water. Brown sugar tastes sweet and has the effects of nourishing blood, removing blood stasis, accelerating blood circulation, dispelling cold and relieving pain. The method of making brown sugar water is to add a small piece of ginger to brown sugar. Crush the ginger and cook them together. After boiling, scoop out the ginger and drink it.

3. Proper exercise

During dysmenorrhea, especially for women with weak constitutions, while improving nutrition through diet, they can also do some light exercises such as walking and yoga. This can make their excited emotions more coordinated in the suppression process, help regulate menstrual emotions, reduce negative emotions such as irritability, and keep their mood calm.

4. Healthy diet

Female friends should never eat cold vegetables and fruits during their menstrual period, such as winter melon, watermelon, etc. Also avoid drinking caffeinated beverages, avoid contact with cold water during menstruation, and reduce the number of times you wash your hair and take a bath.

5. Taking painkillers

Some female friends suffer from severe dysmenorrhea, and may experience fainting and vomiting. In order to prevent the situation from becoming more serious, they must go to the hospital for treatment and get some painkillers. However, it is recommended that you pay attention to maintenance and do not rely on drugs.

6. Keep your body and mind happy

During menstruation, women will experience symptoms such as irritability and anger. At this time, you should put down your difficult work that makes you irritable, go out to watch a movie with friends, have afternoon tea, keep your body and mind happy, which can also effectively relieve dysmenorrhea.
