Can cervical erosion be cured?

In daily life, cervical erosion is a relatively common female disease, and ectopic cervical columnar epithelium is also a very normal physiological condition, and this disease does not have any rare clinical symptoms. However, some patients with cervical erosion will experience bleeding when having sexual contact with others, but this is only limited to some special people. So can cervical erosion be cured?

"Cervical erosion" has been clinically renamed "cervical columnar epithelium eversion", which is a physiological phenomenon. If there are no clinical symptoms, no treatment is required. It will not affect pregnancy.

1. There are two types of cervical epithelium: squamous epithelium on the outside and columnar epithelium inside the cervical canal. Where the two intersect there is a boundary called the squamocolumnar junction. This boundary changes with age, changes in hormone levels, pregnancy, childbirth and other factors. When this boundary is located at the external os of the cervix, it can be seen during a gynecological examination, which is what we used to call "cervical erosion." As long as the cervix still exists and the influencing factors mentioned above are still there, there is a chance that "cervical erosion" will exist. This is the reason why cervical erosion cannot be cured for a long time.

2. Does physical therapy work? Research has made it clear that the HPV virus infects the human body through the gaps between the squamosal and columnar structures, settles there, and causes disease. The purpose of various current treatment methods is to promote the transformation of the cervical columnar epithelium at the external cervical os into squamous epithelium, so that the junction of the squamous columnar epithelium is transferred to the cervical canal.

3. Leep is used to treat cervical lesions, not to treat "cervical erosion".

4. Impact on future pregnancy: If there are no complications such as cervical stenosis and adhesion after the operation, there will be no problem affecting pregnancy.

6. Then why do clinical doctors prescribe so many medicines for treatment? Doctors are treating infections that exist within the vagina. It is now known that the HPV virus can infect the squamous-columnar junction, causing cervical lesions. Infection by other bacteria in the vagina will reduce the body's local immunity, increase the chance of HPV infection, and hinder the body's clearance of the HPV virus. Therefore, active treatment is necessary, especially when the leucorrhea increases, becomes yellow in color and has an odor, examination and treatment should be carried out.
