Can you eat a lot when you are pregnant?

For some female friends, the body's reaction is more severe when they just become pregnant. Some friends may experience vomiting, loss of appetite, etc. Therefore, if some women eat a lot in the early stages of pregnancy, they will wonder if there is something wrong with their body. In fact, some women do have a strong appetite. This is not a disease, it is a normal reaction during pregnancy.

Why can I eat so much during early pregnancy?

Almost all pregnant women in the early stages of pregnancy often feel nauseous and vomiting, especially in the morning. These symptoms vary from person to person, and some people have very mild symptoms, while others have very severe symptoms. Unless you have severe nausea and vomiting, you don't need to see a doctor. Otherwise, these are normal phenomena in early pregnancy.

However, there are a few pregnant women who often feel hungry in the early stages of pregnancy. However, this feeling of hunger is different from the previous feeling of being hungry. After pregnancy, the expectant mother's taste and appetite will change to some extent. In the early stages of pregnancy, many pregnant women become "foodie". This is not a big deal. Just eat whatever you want. There is no need to deliberately eat more or less. There is no need to suppress your appetite in the early stages of pregnancy. Of course, it is best to eat light and easily digestible food.

In addition, in early pregnancy, a woman's breasts become particularly tender a week or two after conception. This is because the body produces a lot of estrogen and progesterone in early pregnancy, so the glands in the breasts begin to grow. These hormones also cause the breasts to retain more fluid, so they may feel heavier and soreer than before, and more sensitive than PMS.

If a pregnant woman experiences lower abdominal cramps in the early stages of pregnancy, if it is accompanied by abnormal vaginal bleeding, and is accompanied by lower abdominal pain and discomfort in the lower abdomen, she should go to the hospital for further diagnosis and treatment to determine whether she has miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, ovarian tumor or other problems.

What are the reactions in early pregnancy

1. Frequent urination. Many pregnant women experience frequent urination in the early stages of pregnancy. During the first three months of pregnancy, the uterus gradually grows in the pelvic cavity, pressing on the bladder, causing the expectant mother to constantly feel the urge to urinate. In the middle of pregnancy, the uterus will move up to the abdominal cavity, and the phenomenon of frequent urination will improve. But towards the end of pregnancy, frequent urination will reappear.

2. Breast discomfort. Starting from a few weeks after pregnancy, pregnant women will feel breast swelling and even some pain. Occasionally, squeezing the nipples will produce sticky yellowish colostrum. This is because in the early stages of pregnancy, due to pregnancy stimulation, the pregnant woman's body will produce a lot of estrogen and progesterone, causing the glands in the breasts to begin to grow.

3. Mild vaginal bleeding. The fertilized egg will implant in the uterus within 6-12 days after conception, which may cause slight vaginal bleeding in pregnant women. This is a normal physiological reaction when the fertilized egg implants and is harmless to the human body.

4. Physical fatigue. In the early stages of pregnancy, many pregnant women will feel weak and tired, or have no interest in doing things, feel drowsy all day long, and have no energy. This is one of the normal reactions in early pregnancy and will naturally improve after 3 months of pregnancy.

5. Loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting. Morning sickness usually occurs from the 5th week of pregnancy, and the form and degree of morning sickness may vary depending on the individual differences of the pregnant woman. Mild morning sickness will usually disappear naturally around 16 weeks of pregnancy. It has no major impact on the body and does not require special treatment. As long as you stay emotionally stable, get enough rest, and pay attention to adjusting your diet, you will be fine.
