Generally speaking, endometritis is a disease caused by infection of the female reproductive system. For female patients with endometritis, the inflammation should be controlled as soon as possible in the early stage of the disease, otherwise it will become more serious and affect the myometrium. Therefore, understanding the symptoms of endometritis is a key step in being able to eliminate inflammation and cure the disease in a timely and effective manner. Symptoms of endometritis include mild fever, lower abdominal pain, and increased vaginal discharge. Leucorrhea is sometimes bloody, and if it is caused by anaerobic bacteria, the discharge will be foul-smelling. Some people have irregular menstruation. If the inflammation is severe, it may spread to the myometrium. It becomes myometritis and many small abscesses form inside it. If the inflammation spreads outward, it can cause pelvic inflammatory disease. During examination, the uterus may be tender and enlarged, and the tissues on both sides may be tender and thickened. In the acute phase of endometritis, the endometrium is congested, edematous, and infiltrated with inflammatory cells, and suppuration occurs in severe cases. The main symptoms of acute endometritis are fever, lower abdominal pain, increased vaginal discharge, sometimes bloody or foul-smelling, and sometimes a slightly enlarged uterus and tenderness. The symptoms of chronic cases are basically the same, and may also include menorrhagia, lower abdominal pain, and obvious swelling in the lumbar area. Acute endometritis can further develop into myometritis, salpingitis and pelvic inflammatory disease, making the condition worse. The main symptoms of chronic endometritis are irregular menstruation or uterine bleeding; lower abdominal pain or distension; increased vaginal discharge; fever, etc. In addition, the uterus is enlarged and tender, and the tissues around the uterus are thickened and tender. If elderly people suffer from chronic endometritis, they will experience vaginal bleeding again after menopause, and the leucorrhea will increase and become thinner and bloody. When treating chronic endometritis, the first thing to do is to see if there are any causing factors, such as retained placenta, intrauterine contraceptive device, etc. If these causes are removed, chronic endometritis will heal quickly. In fact, to understand the symptoms of cervical endometritis, it is necessary to conduct it from both acute and chronic aspects. Usually, patients with acute endometritis will have symptoms of edema, increased leucorrhea and uterine tenderness, while patients with chronic endometritis will have vaginal bleeding, fever and thickening of the tissue around the uterus. Therefore, everyone must have a detailed understanding of the symptoms of endometritis. |
