How long does it take for the effect of abortion anesthetic to wear off?

Abortion is the most common gynecological surgery, but we all know that this surgery has a great impact and harm on physical health, so women should take care of their bodies and avoid abortion. Anesthesia will be given during the abortion process, and the side effects of anesthesia are relatively large, so everyone should have a scientific understanding of this.

1. Science is advancing now, and abortion is very humane. Painless intravenous medication can usually be used to complete the abortion in 2 minutes while you sleep. People have different physiques and different sensitivities to anesthetics. It is normal to feel differently from others. How long it takes you to last is related to your physical condition. You are a person who is sensitive to anesthetics.

2. "Anesthetics" are not one type of medicine, but many types. The most common type of local anesthesia is amides, such as lidocaine, bupivacaine, and ropivacaine, while general anesthesia requires multiple drugs, including intravenous and inhaled drug combinations. No single drug can be used alone for "anesthesia." Intravenous general anesthetics act on the central nervous system and generally include hypnotic sedatives, analgesics, muscle relaxants and auxiliary drugs. Anesthetic drugs are the core of anesthesiology and it is impossible to explain them clearly in a few words. Common contemporary intravenous anesthesia drugs include propofol, fentanyl, atracurium, succinylcholine, thiopental sodium, ketamine, halothane, etc., and there are even more auxiliary drugs.

3. Anesthetic drugs are divided into

1. Anesthetic sedative drugs, representative: Valium

2. Anesthetic analgesics, such as morphine and pethidine

3. Inhaled general anesthetic drugs, such as ether, isoflurane, etc.

4. Intravenous general anesthetic drugs, representative: propofol used by MJ, K powder (ketamine)

5. Local anesthetics, including lidocaine, tetracaine, procaine, bupivacaine, ropivacaine, etc.

6. Muscle relaxants, representative: Xianlin

7. Receptor agonists and their antagonists: pilocarpine, atropine and many more.

Traditional Chinese medicine anesthetics are basically not used nowadays. The most typical one is Hua Tuo's "Ma Fei San", which is a compound preparation and has now been lost. I dare not comment on other ones as I have little knowledge of them. I am an anesthesiologist.
