How to conceive with a retroverted uterus? Four easy steps

Retroverted uterus means there is a problem with the position of the uterus, which may tilt backwards and rise up. If you encounter retroverted uterus, you must not take it lightly, as it may cause difficulty in conception due to its displaced position. Although mild retroverted uterus does not have much impact on the human body, you should still pay attention to it during the pregnancy preparation period to avoid inability to conceive. Severe retroverted uterus requires timely medical treatment. Retroverted uterus does not lead to infertility, but it does require some methods to conceive. Here are four methods to teach you how to conceive easily.

How to conceive with a retroverted uterus?

1. Raise the buttocks after sexual intercourse: Place a pillow under the woman's buttocks during or after sexual intercourse, so that the woman is in a position with her head low and her buttocks high. This allows the semen to accumulate in the posterior fornix, soaking the cervix in the semen pool, which is beneficial to conception.

2. Lie prone after sexual intercourse or kneel from behind during sexual intercourse: the semen will accumulate in the anterior vault of the vagina, making it easy for the upturned cervix to be soaked in semen.

3. Shortening of the round ligament of the uterus or uterine suspension: The effect of this type of surgery is uncertain and the disease may recur after a few years. Currently, this method is not recommended.

4. Pessary correction method: Some women can first use manual manipulation to reduce the uterus to anterior position, and then place a pessary for a short period of time, which can play a temporary corrective role.

What to do if the uterus is retroverted?

Retroverted uterus can be actively corrected. Insist on lying on your side, back, or kneeling 2-3 times a day, each time for half an hour, to give the uterus a chance to lean forward and flex. During menstruation, you should also lie prone once a day because the uterus is slightly softer, which helps it to tilt forward. If the retroverted uterus is more serious, you should often do the knee-chest position, that is, kneel perpendicular to the ground, and your waist should be bent downward instead of arched upward, for about 15 minutes each time. You can also do the following exercises to correct a retroverted uterus:

1. Prone exercise: Raise both lower limbs straight backwards alternately while lifting both lower limbs at the same time.

2. Elbow-knee position (elbows and knees on the ground) exercise: Lie prone with the chest forward and downward, stretch the lower limbs backward and upward alternately, crawl forward and backward alternately with the knees, support the body with the toes, straighten the knees, and raise the hips.

3. Hand-knee position (hands and knees on the ground) exercise: straighten the lower limbs alternately and move in all directions, bend the elbows, and bend the chest forward and down to the ground. Raise the right upper limb and left lower limb at the same time, raise the left upper limb and right lower limb at the same time, support yourself with your toes, straighten your knees, and raise your hips.

4. Hand-foot position (hands and feet on the ground) exercise: sit back on the heels, then return to the original position, and bend the knees forward alternately with both lower limbs.

5. Kneeling exercise: Kneel with the body upright. Raise both arms and then bend the body forward while keeping the arms straight and the hands on the ground.

The cause of retroverted uterus is often related to sleeping posture. Women who have had a miscarriage or sleep in their supine position for a long time are prone to retroverted uterus. If these women insist on sleeping in the prone position or the chest-knee side-lying position for a long time, the position of the uterus can be corrected. This method can be cured without special treatment, and the rectal irritation symptoms caused by the retroverted uterus can completely disappear.
